thats what i thought nearly 100bhp over standard you don't get that too often from standard turbo's. we will wait and see. Shane, I see you have Revo. Did you go out in a grey S3 at Castle Combe at Audi Driver International? If so, glad to see you got your map done. I took someone out for a run out...

RE: Re: RE: S3 v S4(B5)

I went out to buy an S4 (4.2 v8), and came back with a new S3. The S4 was 8 months old and not massively specced, the S3 was new and they came in at the same price. S3 was in desperate need of remap to give it some more mid range urgency, but with that done it is a better car to drive. The S4 is lov...

Interesting! Did Revo confirm that the issues with the fuel pump and DV were only for your car or is this a general problem that any S3 (8P) is likely to see when being remapped? I'm looking to get mine done soon but I might hang on for a few months to see what people think of the maps from SuperCh...

Hi I hung off the wheels as I was having a few 'issues' with the car that needing sorting. I was suffering what seemed to be inconsistent performance, and as I waited for the car to run in / adapt to the new map I was aware that actually the performance gains I had been hoping for weren't there. I'v...

Have you check it will fit? I was told Carbonia didnt do one for S3 due to the intercoolers? Andy at Awesome GTi sorted me out with a Carbonia carbon enlarged intake / dry panel filter for the S3. This is the unit that is specified for the Mk5 Golf GTi, and so there was a chance it may not have fit...

Have you check it will fit? I was told Carbonia didnt do one for S3 due to the intercoolers? The FMIC on the Leon Cupra R was mounted under the crash bar in front of the radiator, and I am hoping the S3 is the same. If so it should fit, but I have been promised by Andy that as long as I don't damag...

RE: Carbonia Air Intake for S3

I'm trying to ween myself of it but I'm going through cold turkey. If finding its slightly breathless at the top end, so just want to give the car a chance to breathe a bit more easily. Other than that she's doing well, but this will be the last engine mod as I promised myself no evasive modificatio...

Carbonia Air Intake for S3

I've just ordered a Carbonia air intake for the S3 from Andy @ Awesome GTi http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/audi%20a38p/engine.html (Picture shown fitted on Golf Mk5 GTi) http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/images/carboniomk5.jpg There are some failry optimistic figures in terms of air intake increases, but th...

If its any consolation I do have 2000 posts on SEATCUPRA.net where I was a member since 2002, but since switching allegiance to Audi had been looking for a friendly open forum to share opinions and get help if I had an issue. At times my posts could be construed as a bit 'direct'; I guess my day job...

Apologies to dip my toe into this debate when I don't own an S4 or RS4, but I have just spent out my £1k on an MTM generic map for my S3 (8P). Previously I had a Revo stage 2 Leon Cupra R225 (with 4 bar FPR, enlarged Forge intercoolers, full milltek with 100 cell race cats etc...), and I was running...

RE: Re: RE: WANTED: RS4 (B7) 19" Alloy wheels (Not repl

Just spoke to someone in the know, they would protrude 46mm further than the current wheels :-(

Shame as I'd have loved some and I can't be doing with aftermarkets as they weigh too much. At that money they'd have been a steal.

Grrr
