Re: Maximum gearbox torque before slipping
I could be wrong but I think they're referring to the two RS's in the photo combined.....?Steveo wrote:

Re: Breaking B6 S4 Saloon Manual Gearbox - 53 Reg
Broken just like yours I guess
IIRC the ones like mine with the coolbox in are a different part no to standard - so probably aren't any good unless you have the same?

What colour dash is it, what condition and how much do you want for the glovebox? Cheers Lol - god no - if I could get an engine it'd be 4 grand ish, plus the labou...

Breaking B6 S4 Saloon Manual Gearbox - 53 Reg
Well the timing chains have snapped on my B6 S4 Saloon, so I'm breaking the car. You wouldn't want the engine (though the ancilliaries are fine) or the front wings but otherwise the car is complete. Car is LZ9W paint code, saloon manual, with full recaro leather interior - front seats heated, electr...

RE: Re: RNS-D to RNS E Install
You'll need to bridge the pins on the loom going into the old tmc in the boot. That way you'll get CAN bus on the right pins into the RNS-E (RNS-D used the old Bosch version CAN protocol IIRC). The reason it's done on the TMC module is 1) its now redundant like CliveH says 2) It's dead easy to bridg...

S4 Rear discs and pads change - faff!
I've just come to swap the rear discs and pads on the back of my S4 (B6) - what a faff! I searched here elsewhere and I couldn't find one thread that covered swapping rear discs and pads on these cars - when I had a B5 S4 - couldn't move for threads :-) I guess nobody likes these V8 ones!! Anyhooo I...

RE: Re: RE: Current Values
I bought a hi spec (NAV, TV, Coolbox in glovebox etc etc) 53 plate with 87K on it for 8250 in October - was advertised on Pistonheads - came with new clutch, and 4 newish Toyo T1R's too :-) It's a question of keep looking, you'll find one at sensible money soon enough. That said, I talked a couple o...

Wanted - B6 S4 Avant - NOT Silver / Moro Blue - < £10K
After having a couple of B5 S4's and then non Audi for a few years it's time for me to come back to the fold. To that end I'm looking for a B6 S4 Avant - manual preferred but if the rest of the requirements are met I'll consider an auto. So this is what I'm looking for: * Any colour except Silver or...
