HELP ! ECU problem??
Any help from knowlegeable S4 gurus would be most welcome. This is a very long story but basically I have an RS4 engine in a 1998 S4 running on the S4 wiring and ECU. I would have had to rewire the whole car to get it running on the RS4 ECU. EVERYTHING else is RS4 - complete intake, injectors, airbo...

Re: RS4 Intercoolers on an S4
The RS4 intercoolers will fit an S4 without cutting anything major. You just need to trim the bumper slightly and do some minor work to the ducts. I may be selling some brand new ones soon so let me know if you are interested. If you are running K04's and higher boost than standard, you will see ben...

Wanted ECU for 1998 S4
I think I have a problem with my ECU and want to get a good second hand one. The programme on the chip does not matter as it will be changed anyway. I believe the part number is a C type.

Re: APR or Milltek exhaust
I bought a full APR system including downpipes and CAT's direct from APR USA. There are 2 options - stealth and something a little louder. I went for the stealth and it sounds really nice if slightly boomy below 3k revs. I chose it because it has a nicer burble than the Milltek, it comes with test p...

You should be fine running the RS4 intercoolers until you get another re-map.

Re: RS4 V's S4 ECU
My understanding is that a late S4 has the same wiring loom and ECU as the RS4 (obviously with different software). I know for a fact that the early S4's are very different in the wiring and ECU type. Hope that helps.

Re: Which alloy?
The wheels came from Monty's in London. We had the wrong type delivered from Italy, then the RS6 ones had some slight blemishes and finally the third set were fine. Paul at Monty's was a real pleasure to deal with throughout. You can haggle with him too! The tyres cost £650 incl VAT fitted, balanced...

Re: Which alloy?
I made the 6 pot brake kit using Porsche GT2 Brembo's and RS6 discs. I also have Porsche 996 rear brakes. I have now added pics of these and the new 19" RS6 replicas on my gallery. Excellent brake setup. Did you make the bells & calliper brackets yourself ? I like the RS6 replica alloys too, they s...

Re: K04 upgrade. Can I raise the boost pressure?
Guys I just go the car tested with G-tech pro, and the best 1/4 mile was 13.606 seconds. This is just a little bit better than what I had with the stage 1.(13.789) What should i do? Simple answer: go get it checked out for faults and re-mapped to suit your h...

Re: Self Leveling Xenons and Suspension
Will changing (and lowering) to a after market suspension (ie coilover) affect the self leveling function? How does the self leveling xenons work? Is there a sensor attached to the suspension or does the sensor measure the pitch of the body? Surely the height is not relevant? I would have thought i...

Re: ecs tuning porsche cayenne brake system on RS4
I'm not 100% sure, but the front suspension arms *are* different between the S4 and RS4. Yes, the hubs are the same size, but that doesn't mean that the caliper mounts are the same ??? If that were the case, I'm sure a lot of S4 owners would be upgrading to RS4 brakes. Nige [img]images/graemlins/th...
