This might be relevant but I had the same problem on my RS6+. One of the mechanics told me that it is a small plastic wheel that needs replacing. They did and no more rattle.

Sorry, you are correct, the hours are fixed, not the rate. However, I have been reliably informed that the Audi stated hours are well in excess of reality and guess which ones are used when we are invoiced.

I think that you will find that the battery on a US car is in the boot covered by a plastic box. This takes space and looks ugly.

What really screws up the brain cell of a tea leaf is to have the lock removed from the drivers door. I had this done on the RS4 and RS6+.

My belt change costed £1,488.29 including VAT. This included exchange water pump, relay roll, lever, belt damper, roller, v belt, roller, tensioner, roller, nut, gasket. The labour charge is £903.69 which is fixed, the parts charge being higher because I had everything changed. This service was mass...

If RS6 or 6+ brakes are used hard, the heat build up causes the discs to rib. This in turn causes the pads to rib and during this process you can get grumbling from the brakes. If the disks are slightly ribbed then they can be skimmed. However, if they are a bit undulating then new discs is the only...

The advantages of going to a main dealer is that the warranty is intact with no arguement and the belt job, which is complex, is done by someone who should know what they are doing. I had the belt, followers and tensioner changed at 38k miles. My dealer showed me evidence of the V8 engine sometimes ...

Ask for 'Anti Hijack'. This does three things, beep on lock, lock all doors above 10kph and unlock drivers door only on one press of the fob. This takes 2 mins with VAG-COM so why they should charge anyone beats me.

I have just had a valuation from the dealer and it looks as though I was being slightly over optimistic about the sell price. Bearing in mind the 6k major service, 9 months tax, 9 months warranty the price I should be asking is £37k. The car is available now as my dealer will loan a car to me until ...

The beast has to go

I have decided to sell the RS6+. It has just had a major service at 38k miles with new cam belt etc, water pump, discs, pads and tyres. It is standard apart from Rear side airbags, Tracker horizon and Auto dimming and folding door mirrors. The colour is Avus silver and it has a Hi-tec interior. QSTu...

The problem I have is that I have £70k of car (when new) and I leave it to someone that has no direct access to the Audi engine and development groups. I have always stuck with MTM (and the higher pricing) as they are recognised by Audi and work very closely with them. Some people are willing to tak...
