I think it could be the wheel bearings also. When mine were giving up they only whined while taking bends. Worth checking as there not that expensive to fix!

Good info curtis11.
I didn't know that. Maybe i'll just buy lowering springs. Don't have the money for a full kit at the mo.
I've been wanting to sort the suspension with ages but other stuff more important.

RE: Will rs4 suspension fit?

I thought the rs4 springs were about 20mm lower, which is exactly what i want. The shocks are stiffer but they can't be that bad.
Why do you say imy car would be like a 4x4?

Would you believe one of my rear tyres was completely bald when i checked underneath. 2 new rear tyres have sloved the problem.
The rears were over inflated by the last tyre shop and led to the tyres only lasting 6-7000 miles.
Just goes to show how important tyre pressures are!

RE: Rear suspension loose

Ya if this rain would stop i would. It's being serviced next week so hopefully it's an easy fix. Might be time to do the suspension i've put this off for ages as i was thinking of selling it. but after a great spin last week i'm holding on to it and i'll do some work to it.l

You see my problem is i'm in Ireland and trying to find someone with an S4 never mind a tuned one is difficult. If i was only doing 100 miles at the weekend i wouldn't mind it being too hard but some weeks i could do 500 miles. Also the b roads in the south of Ireland are not suited to really hard s...

I'll put it to my wife this evening about RS246, she's expecting our second child in 10 days time so if she's up for it i'll take the family.
I'll give MRC a call, is it far from Brungtingthorpe?
