Was it silver? If so then that was me! I remember you there with your TT.

I had the RS4 DRC rear ARB installed and it's definitely a worthwhile mod for any B6/7 S4, especially for the money. It tightens up the handling and reduces understeer considerably.

Yes, I agree with chunky79 - this sounds very much like the same symptoms I had a few weeks ago, and that did indeed turn out to be a knackered wheel bearing. Here's my thread:

Interesting, the only thing I can think of is the S4 is the only V8 that has 40 valves, all the other V8's only have 32 valves. There must be something different in the chain drive mechanism, if you have ever tried to turn an engine over by hand and felt the pressure caused compressing the valve sp...
