I had the RS4 DRC rear ARB installed and it's definitely a worthwhile mod for any B6/7 S4, especially for the money. It tightens up the handling and reduces understeer considerably.

Heading westbound between J16 and J17 this evening about an hour ago.

Yes, I agree with chunky79 - this sounds very much like the same symptoms I had a few weeks ago, and that did indeed turn out to be a knackered wheel bearing. Here's my thread:

I saw them too while I was walking back to the car park.

Interesting, the only thing I can think of is the S4 is the only V8 that has 40 valves, all the other V8's only have 32 valves.
