mines just clocked onto 117k now, and i've had it since 70k now. It gets driven less now, but even so 5k oil changes and full service at least every 10k miles and so far so good. RE: Re: highest mileage done on RS4?

That's because of the law of SOD... Guarantee that as soon as anyone posts all is well, it will decide it is being neglected and require a 4 figure sum spending on it to make it happy again. So for that reason i'm at 117k now and i'm not saying anything. Read into that as you will. Touch Wood etc et...

Bose Amp in RS4 B5

Can the volume or Gain of this be adjusted. I have a different headunit in the car using the pre-outs it appears that i'm usually running it around 70% volume, sometimes upto 100%. Obviously this adds distortion which then gets amplified by the rear amp.

Any ideas?

Cheers

For the prices i was quoted for a spring on mine that went (and the fact that you would need to replace both sides at a minimum) is was around £500 all in for new parts. I therefore decided that as i was +100k as well that even if i replaced the springs, that might put the dampers under more stress ...

I've been thinking about something similar as i have removed the front fog lights, i have a cunning "spare" switch that i could use for such a security mod. Most people wouldn't think twice about having to switch on the front fog lights before the ignition works...

RE: fitted ballast unit

I seem to remeber that you (Blue thunder) was having issues getting it all to fit - But my slim line, with the additional bit that you mention, all fitted in fine once i'd removed the old ballast from the mounting plate, wires, additional bit and all. So like AndyC says, simple and about an hour. Fo...
