I had the engine and gearbox mounts replaced with RS4 ones.

Doug at MRC did them - definitely in-situ but not a quick job. Gearbox ones are much easier than the engine ones.

i wore the insides of my brand new tyres bald in 2.5k after doing the shocks and springs..

much cheaper to pay less than £100 for laser alignment than buy two new tyres..

go for the alignment - my 2p

i think it's just the way quattro is on tight turns at slow speeds, however mine got less apparent when i had my laser wheel alignment done..

worth a try - alignment makes a big difference to the feel of the car if it hasn't been done for a long time or you've had suspension work done.

I'm sure Grizz will jump in at some point, but when i was interested in some RS4 clocks they couldn't go in an S4 pre the digital clock facelift late '99.

thinking or selling mine.. for the right price.. need a nasty old estate for the house i'm just about to do up.. from an insurance point of view, stock except for the wheels and mirrors and i have the originals (though the wheels need a respray) 99T analogue clock facelift, 87k, FASH to 81k then one...

and mine is done too...

Audi diagnosis... the two copper rings are faulty and need replacing as you all predicted.. leak 1 AND the rear gearbox seal is faulty.. leak 2 parts on back order so could be over a week so i get a car on tuesday till parts arrive but it's going to be 3 hours work at Audi rates... ahhh on that note...
