Re: RS4 BHP Problem

Sportec definitely do decent tuning. I hope you're using at least 98RON fuel, otherwise, this could be the cause for your loss of power.

Re: Anybody in the market for an MTM TCU chip?

Hey Minhea, is your c5 rs6 stage 1+ remap a custom or generic map? None of our maps are ever 100% generic like other places remaps, i.e. we do never install a remap on a car without checking how the car performs, and most often than not, small adjustments are made, even on "generic" maps to make su...

Re: audi Camberley or MRC?

pisquano, have you thought about declaring a "chip" to the insurance company, as opposed to a remap? Technically speaking both things are the same (or almost, depends on your perspective), but it might be worth a shot, as I've heard of quite a few people getting cheaper quotes for chips rather than ...

it all depends on what you call a remap :) We could offer the same but prefer not to :)

Re: Is my car restricted???

The German ones weren't restricted to 155. I believe yours is german, no? I hate to sound like a party breaker but that's all urban myths and things about grass being greener etc etc. C5 RS6s were all limited, ONE variant of the Plus had the limiter at 275km/h from the factory, the rest were all 25...

Re: Is my car restricted???

No RS6 ever left the factory without a top speed limiter, but in some cases, even the ECU is off by a bit. I have customers who told me they had hit 300km/h on
stock cars, but for some I have serious reasons to doubt it :)

Even an RS6+ is still limited at 255km/h.

Re: Is my car restricted???

Is the torque limitation there to protect the clutch? Stresses on the clutch are far worse in 4th 5th and 6th than the 1st 3 gears IMHO. Usually when a clutch starts slipping, it always slips in high gears, not in the lower ones ;) my answer to this question is that I don't know but the cars feel A...

Re: Is my car restricted???

RS6 has a top speed limiter active at 255km/h or roughly 158.44mph, however, due to speedo inaccuracy (and sometimes non OEM tyre sizes which contributes to the speedo not being accurate), you often see at least 175 mph on a standard car, which leads most people to think their cars aren't restricted...

Re: Is my car restricted???

The R8 has the same sort of torque limiter in the first 3 gears as the RS4 :) Of course we can remove them on either car, it's actually funny, some "tuners" have not even heard of those, yet they claim miraculous power gains :biggrin3:

RE: Wagners and remap?

Depending on whose map you're running, it might do with a tweak here and there as Wagners are less restrictive than stock ICs, but only to get more, not because Wagners would make it unsafe to run ;)
