Re: Interesting video on two RS4 with rocker arm failures
I think you can take out Audi extended warranty at any time, so long as it has full Audi service history. You certainly pay more first year if it is out of warranty. I will very likely only buy Audi approved used, so you get at least 1 year extended warranty that way, then I would have the option to...

Re: Interesting video on two RS4 with rocker arm failures
I'm keeping my extended warranty going in the vague hope that I'll be able to get them to cover the costs of repair (£3k+ minimum?) should mine ever start rattling. Do you mind sharing how much the VWFS extended warranty is (and what mileage and excess that is with please)? Prospective buyer here a...

Re: 4.0TFSI Turbo failure
We're these failures on cars that had 10K mile oil changes?
Is there a year from which the C7 4L TFSI is known to have the revised strainer from factory?

Re: Speedo accuracy.
I think it's the refresh rate that generally differs in a typical consumer end products, mobile phone, portable SatNav etc. That is what is fundamentally different in something like a RaceLogic device. So at a consistent speed, there is less to tell them apart. My B8 S4 on factory 19s has always bee...

Re: Non Audi warranty’s
The old Mondial administered Audi extended warranties all have a price tier at 60K miles, which hikes the price thereafter (paying £700+ a year for my S4). Not sure what the mileage tiers are on the newer VWFS administered Audi extended warranties are, but no doubt there will be something based on m...

Re: Oil change after a year ?
The RS models still have fixed and variable service options right? It sounds like you are on variable (long life), I believe a default but incorrect if you are doing only 6K miles in 10 months.

Re: Wireless phone charger
Excellent! I have searched for something like this before and was surprised to find nothing available, I thought someone would be making them.
Does the phone stay well enough aligned to charge when the driving gets spirited?

Re: Extended Warranty - TD1
The extended warranty is an insurance product, the terms of which are your car is not modified, has to be serviced at the dealer as per schedule etc etc, else invalid.
Check the terms on cancellation, hopefully you can get a prorata refund at least.

Re: Bicester Heritage Sunday Scramble
I was there (only live a stones throw away). I had tried to organise a rs246 group to go before but not that many were interested last year. There was the Audi UK club there, only around 10 cars by the looks of it. Surely we can muster up a group for the next one in April? You get discounted ticket...

How did you like it? Superb as always I thought. Massive turnout, my only fear is the event growing too much and spoiling.
