Thanks for the reponses and advice. I've decided to replace with two new tyres and get these fitted to the front. Can't wait to get my 18" RS4's back on the S3 8) Currently running with my spare set of 17" original Avus rims and I just don't like the look of them (no offense, just my personal taste)...

Replacing tyres
What is the general consensus on replacing tyres on the S3 with regards to the following situation: I have 3 tyres all with 5-6mm tread left on them and one alloy with no tyre. Tyre was punctured and unrepairable :( Should I replace just the one tyre with new one (exactly the same type as the other ...

I was told that the service would include all oils and fluid changes and that this would be the cars first major service. How can two main dealers charge such different prices for the same service?? Is is down to labour rates alone.......one dealer was in Berkshire (where I live) and the other in Ch...

Service cost
My 52-reg S3 (225 model) is going to be due a service in the next 3500 miles according to the onboard computer. This will be the cars 4th service and I believe the car is on the 'long-life' service interval??? I've had two main dealer quotes for doing the service, one quoting £550 and the other £392...

Remote boot release
The boot release button on my S3's remote key fob has stopped working recently, and I have no idea why?!? Open/close buttons work fine.
Any suggestions as to what it could be? Or should I just take it to my local Audi stealer?
Car is a 52-reg btw.

Tyre Pressures
Had my 52-reg S3 for a few weeks now and still smiling :D Just want to know what the correct tyre pressues are for the S3? Car has the std alloys and tyres fitted (225/45/17). Also, can anyone reccommend somewhere in the South East that sells the replica 18" RS4 alloys? I think they look so 8) on th...

RE: Hi from a new S3 owner
Thanks for the welcome! I'll try to make the Windsor meet in the future, but I'm currently working weeks up in Cheshire at the Shell Stanlow refinery (home of Optiamx.........and maybe Optimax Refresh from Aug'06). I'm thinking of the AmD stage 1 to give me a comparable bhp to my Evo 8 260. I'm not ...

I've traded in my Evo 8 (260 model) cause the cost to service the thing and the appitite for Optimax was eating into my pockets a little too deep (curr...
