Hi, I test drove the M5 as well as the RS4 and in terms of performance it was very close, however the M5 looked absolutely bloody awful inside with a big swathe of aluminium running across the dash. The heads up is gimmicky and from the outside it looks like someone's taken a chunk out of the dash. ...

I'm going to ring the dealer this morning and see what transpires. Am guessing the best I'm gonna get is replacements of the same!

Will let you all know the outcome, but if anyone is thinking of getteing them as standard be warned...the gearknob especially wears out very quickly.

RE: Suede issues

They are suede if you buy the suede option! They're not replacing the steering wheel or gearknob

Suede issues

My RS4 came with the suede steering wheel and gearknob. I probably wouldn't have ordered it with them but the car was a cancelled order. It looked great at first but then I realised the handbrake was still leather and should have been suede. My dealer informed me some time ago that Audi would indeed...

iTunes music to SD cards - Help!

So I bought some SD cards and copied 400 songs off iTunes onto each card and they play perfectly once fitted in the slots. One thing is major bugging me though and I really need some help to work it out..... When I copy the songs over to the card they copy over as I drag them, however when I put the...

2700 miles and just got average up to 18.6mpg, but that's only because I do a 100 mile motorway roundtrip 2 or 3 days per week. Around town I'm lucky if it gets into double figures! On the longer trips I can get 23 -25 comfortably though.

Can't help pushing that S button though

I went for sprint blue. My m3 was grey but although the grey is fine, with a car this good there's no reason not to go a bit brighter. I've owned mine 3 weeks now and had loads of admirers asking me various questions and no one has baulked at the colour at all. To be fair I would have been just as h...

You have to keep the button pushed in until the screen goes off. When you push it quickly it just acts as a mute function and turns back on when you restart the car.

Just means keeping your finger on the button for about 2 secs.

Have e-mailed my dealer to try and find out about the handbrake lever. It's not a massive issue but if the book sys it's supposed to be there then it should be.

Couple of questions after day one!

Got my lovely Sprint Blue RS4 yesterday, and like most (all) am absolutely thrilled with it. I got a cancelled order so mine came with the suede wheel and gear knob. I wasn't sure I'd like it a first but have decided now that it's absolutely awesome. looks and feels brilliant. Couple of questions fo...

M3 was a great car, but we are talking about an 8 to 9 year old design and the SMG was rubbish compared to the smooth gear changes on the RS> I couldn't believe how smooth and responsive the engine was. Oh and the interior is about 50 times better thean the M3's. I also test drove the M% and whilst ...

Had an E46 M3 Cab but sold it a few months ago. Outing the big but unexciting X5 for the RS!
