Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Road Trip - Nurburgring

I'm finding it difficult to decipher which dates are Private and which are Public, my German is about as good as my Swahili. The link below is an indication to the cost although the petrol to/from and circuit petrol might be a little under estimated as I think we can all assume a lot less than 20mp...

Just an update; Looks like the circuit does Private and Public track days, Private looks out the question as most are booked and look hideously expensive leaving Public days. These again appear to be limited and I’ve emailed the circuit for more details and availability, as the majority of the in...

Re: RE: Road Trip - Nurburgring

A good start....I suggest a late Friday drive from London to Folkestone to get the Euro Train to Calais, and then do a stop over in Belguim, and Saturday morning head to the ring. Geading back on a Sunday, as many of us work, I think a weekend trip will work for most of us, and generate more intere...

Fontain Motors for Maintenance Jobs

Guys,

Have any of you used Fontain Motors for maintenance? I need to get my front pads and a fluid change done on my R8 and the main dealer prices are a joke.

Fontain are not far from where I work but I want to make sure they have a good rep on 'higher end' Audis.

Steve, realistically you're looking at around 40k for a decent spec RS4 towards the end of 2007. If you go for a '55 plate with mega miles on the clock you may also be able to get one for mid 35s but can't see any dropping down to your budget by that stage....unless you go for an LHD/poorer specced...

Had my test drive yesterday in the RS4 and have to say it is one sensational car. My concern however is depreciation of a £50k asset. Anyone any thoughts on what the retail value of a RS4 saloon will be in 2 years time? You posted the same question nearly a year ago... Nothing wrong with that, but ...

There's one for £43k on Autotrader with full tech pack.

btw stevez, since you're not buying the car for another year now. why not just wait and see what 30k gets you in that time or do you really have to make your mind up right now?? I'm not going to make my mind up now, I just want to get a guide as to what is likely to be in my price range. From what ...

I didn't realise there was a stage 4. What extra does stage 4 give you over stage 3.

Steve, sorry cant help, though there are people here with modded B6/7's, that may help.
To clarify new B7S4 £37k plus £5k AMD upgrade versus new B7 RS4 @ £52k

B7 S4 with AMD Stage 3 versus B7 RS4

Drove the B7 RS4 yesterday and absolutely loved it, but it got me thinking is it worth the extra £10k over a S4 with AMD stage 3 done. As i've not driven a S4 with the AMD done has anyone driven both and got any thoughts.
