Re: S4 meet up

I'm in Brighton. I'd be interested (just as long as it doesn't turn into a "souped up Nova tw*ts car" type meet ) Tempted with the Windsor meet but not sure I can make it.

Re: Performance

Booked into QST next Tuesday so they'll put my mind at rest. I'm guessing that if there is a problem it can't be the MAF as it's only 1500 miles old. Will keep you posted!

Re: burning people off..

Not sure I can make it for Windsor (Working away). Will keep you posted. Sounds good though. I agree, it is very satisfying knowing you can really toy with "boy-racers" - just give them that little glimmer of hope then BANG... SEE YA!!!!! Poetic justice.... ANDIROO - what on earth have you done to y...

Re: burning people off..

Don't know matee - thought I'd grown out of that when I sold my old 16v Astra. Now I'm not so sure!!!!! Pretty certain that there isn't a lot in the Cruise that would trouble an S4. Or S3.

Re: burning people off..

Good call - nothing in Brighton wants to play!! Er, I mean how childish and immature... it's not all about speed....

My bro has got a chipped Nissan200 in the Gatwick area (I think you said you were in that area?) Still, it ain't no S4!!!

Re: burning people off..

F*ck me you two - I'm 34.. Quite clearly accountancy isn't a well paid profession!! Or was it the birds and booze that ruined it all...... Still, we all know that in a race I'd win coz you're too young to understand and appreciate road conditions etc, etc.... !!!...

Re: Looking to buy my forst Audi

I've had a 99 S4 (non Avant) for two months. Just superb. The only problem I've had was a faulty Airflow meter (common problem) which restricted performance somewhat. Fixed and flying. It's the only car I've driven that can be used for extreme fun and taking the extended family for a day out (It's n...

Re: Performance

I guess in a way I am concerned that I have started to get used to the performance. The flip side is that I'm also always thinking of possible problems as to why I didn't reach some stupid speed at the top of a hill or why that little t*sser in a Saxo isn't as small a blip in the distance as I thoug...

Re: Performance

Having been out in it this evening, I'm now not sure again!! No flat spots, going like stink (Changed from 3rd to 4th, looked at the speedo and being the wrong side of 100, realised it was getting silly)! But, in a way thats a problem - nothing to compare it to! The fact that the flat spots aren't n...

Performance

Hello all - please can someone help me? Having had the MAF replaced on my 99 S4 a couple of months ago, I've been blown away by the performance and am having a real laugh! Recently though, I've not been as happy with the performance. Is this because I've got used to it?? Or is there a more sinister ...

Re: Question from a new owner

What would the symptoms be if any of the above were happening (ie split hose or tbb etc)? As I shall be using QST on a regular basis, I'll get them to check out all the hoses etc as a matter of routine anyway. Especially this "F" hose that has caused so much discussion! Thanks for the joke, PC now i...

Re: Question from a new owner

Oh great, now I'm paranoid that the next time I start it the whole thing will disintegrate around me!! It does feel stupidly quick. To be honest, having driven the wifes 1.6 Polo for the last couple of years, even an S4 with a faulty MAF felt quick!! QST did suggest (before they looked at the car) t...
