Re: B7 RS4 Saloon at auction today...

There were 3 B7s out of 250 cars today at an Audi Finance sale, all going through late, I was around for lot 180, a red b7 RS4 saloon with buckets, nav in misano red E*06 *** reg. 35k miles. Looked very tidy, some minor wheel marks but otherwise mint. No service book or any history available, no lo...

My findings after owning the RS4, are; the New "MDCT" 7 speed box on the M3 gives it an edge in performance wherever it
is in the rev range, speed of change can be set too instant and responce follows, a sensation IMO.

I think C63's are fabulous. And as for the interior, personal taste says the Audi is still ergonomically better but comparing it to Ford etc, is that not a sign that Ford in particular have really upped their game on the interiors front? No shame in driving a Mondeo or an Insignia nowadays. I agree...

Ok.... well after 30 months of really enjoyable (apart from DRC) RS4 ownership I have jumped ship and gone for a C63 AMG, it was actually meant to be delivered today but apparently its still on the transporter up north!!! That aside I am really looking forward to it, also after speaking with a coup...

Have to agree, following my cancellation of the RS6, the dealer rang me and offered me a significant discount (and I mean considerable) to reconsider and take delivery of the NEW RS6. That has never happened to me before and I find it both remarkable .....and worrying. Now if there was ever a white...

there is a BIG drop coming on these cars, the trade prices being offered is not due just to excessive mark up - they are not selling. There are main dealers with 50 cars in stock all of which were purchased over the current book price - the market has collapsed and dealers are faced with serious st...

the US RS4 is about 100kg heavier than the Euro RS4 - not sure why as it is not down to the US driver apparently ;) is the IS-F similarly hampered? good to see so many good cars in this class now, although personally I think the IS-F is pug ugly and the exhausts look crap even if there were real, s...

TOO close to call, the Lexus will be less practical in real terms, the boot space is crap and the rear seats remain upright, so RS4 wins, and in the UK wet weather a clear winner. JMO.

RE: Cold rev limit

If you do change the reading, the Service team will know you've tampered, beware; the germans are puting more "Feedback INFO" into there cars now, this info is accessed once the car is coupled to the computer systems @ said service centre. This can lead too lost warrantee.
Be careful.

Yes many do, my RS4 was prone to this ( every wash) but the 635D Sport is not!. :!:

Cheers, will give that a try. Not sure how far I'll get unless I take it to another dealership. These guys are a bunch of money grabbing cowboys. Did you get anywhere? Looks like i've same issue but Aberdeen say nothing wrong. It's a knocking from drivers side suspension going over anything uneven....
