Lee my offer still stands to meet up, and i can check the electrical connections to the wiring loom for you, at least to prove that side.
Cheers

I had a brand new set in the factory boxes from audi and they leaked, it is a manufacturing floor, I wonder how many RS6s have them leaking now and have done from the showroom, car still runs, it doesn't show up very well in normal use. Welding them is impossible, I tried enough ways, the trouble wi...

RE: Dead alternator
I changed mine, ordered on-line, easy enough to change, it can be done by pulling it out from under the car, it does go, just needs twisting to one side, obviously the belt has to come off. Mune was valeo, and i have been told by 2 specialists the bosh is much better, bigger brushes, etc. Audi dont ...

RE: Broken Key...
The keys are easy to strip down, just do one at a time as you may need a good one to re-learn the other and code it to the car. There is a single screw under the audi symbol, peel it off. Pull the 2 halves of the key appart, top and bottom. The spring is inside, try fixing it first, you can get anot...

Not sure yet, they have a nearly new set of Conti SC3 s 235/40/18, not sure about price either!
I will have a think, I'll probably stick them in the classifieds once they are ready, cheers.

Adjustable is the way to go so that you can adjust to your new taste, straight coilover springs mean you can buy aftermarket from any supplier - £30 each. With the above in mind - Stasis is the best bet, try looking at TEIN, they use straight springs, and have a very good rep. The main thing is adju...

Why are you only considering the power? There are quite a number of changes that make the car much better, surely handling, braking, gearchange, cooling, intercooling, ride height, audio, engine - gearbox - diff mounting sturdiness, reliability, tracking setup, etc mods arent all about power and can...

But depending on mileage, you would most likely replace other parts? I thought the JHM kit included all sycros plus the shift rings, it is much more than 400?

I found the conti sc3 to be awful and actually worse than the SC2 I had before, which were also bad.
Now on Hankook RS2 for more than a year and love them to bits ssooooo much grip wet and dry., and they used to be half the price of the big makes.

RE: Oil Cooler Return Line Leaking - Options?
I replaced the threads on the oil cooler with AN10 threaded ally male weld on ends, (cut the old ones off) the diameter of the hole is bigger. Then replace both hoses with goodridge or lined rubber 5/8 pipe. That gives a better flow, a good fix and isnt much different cost than one audi pipe. will n...

3" custom pipes will be a bastrd to fit in situ, there is very little clearance past the gearbox to be honest I cant see how it is possible and leave enough space so as not to roast something/tunnel/etc in my view 63mm is plenty unless you are building for RS6s and 650hp plus. You should consider pu...

Yep, it is because of the design of the suspension, taken from several write ups / manufacturers guides, the ratio of spring travel to wheel travel is roughly 0.8 front and rear.

Clearance issues are
brakes at the front
and the suspension upright on the inside of the rim at the rear,
that's what the spacers are for so it depends on the tyres/front brakes.
