I have got the lucky job at the weekend of changing a set of rear discs and pads on a friends RS6. 2002 MY I have just ordered the discs and pads, but is there anything else I am likley to need?? any sort of bearings or washers / spacers ?? Just so I can get the job done in one go ! ! Man...

I am going to change the haldex oil in my 99v S3.
Could you tell me if the oil is a special Haldex oil or something like an EP90??
Also where are the drain and level bungs & where is the haldex oil filter located on the diff?? as I am going to change this also.

The camchain tensioners ?? the S3 runs a cam belt not a chain or is there a seperate chain that does something to the cams??
I have had the cam belt, waterpump, cambelt tensioner, damper, replaced 2000 miles ago.

Hi, I have a 99V S3, on cold start ups, there is a metalic sort of rattle from the engine area. Now this rattle is only there when the engine is cold and goes when the engine warms up. I was thinking that maybe it could be the exhaust / catalyst ?? Any ideas? I just dont want it to be a belt tension...

I have a 99V S3, its now due its 60K service.
Should I go main dealer or go for an independant garage, I know a good independant garage, but am unsure if it will make any difference when I sell the car ?? The car has full main dealer history at moment.
