Bargain RS4 Avant with Carbon Ceramics Coming Up for Auction
Dear Gents, Sadly the company I work for went into administration last month due in no small part to our banks inept handling of their business, as a consequence my company motor has been returned to the robber barons at Audi Finance who in their infinate wisdom to get the best price have decided to...

RE: Guess how much for a set of RS4 floor mats ?

Might get a set of cheaper ones for summer, but since the originals are part of the cars order spec loathed to wear them down, which de...

Strange bearing type noise circa 10-20mph
Guys, Just returned from a weekend away on the south coast, 220 mile run from the north, got onto the M25 after a good few hours driving and hit the usual carpark traffic, in stop start traffic the car started making a odd bearing type noise, starts quite loud after the clutch was fully engaged at 1...

the fact that RR results for the same car vary so wildy is testemant to the fact they are not accurate measures of mfrs stated power. The reason why Porsche, BMW, Audi et al come so close to generating the same sort of BHP per litre is because they use ISO type standard measures in their testing, it...

the 4.2L V8 badge is likely to be a back badge off a A8. they have a 4.2L badge.

Just goes to show what all that oversteer showboating on the track by plato, needell et al leads to when carried out by civvies on roads without 500 yards of kitty litter run off.

SR71 has answered pretty much most of the points i was going to cover in response and is correct: before putting your faith in RR results over mfrs test claims you should read this, you will perhaps have a better understanding of the difference between an ENGINE dynometer and a CHASSIC dynometer htt...

RE: squeeky brakes
You get this a lot usually during colder weather if you drive your car a lot around town and don't do a lot of hard braking at higher speeds also if the car has been sat and the discs oxidise. What happens is all the road grit and grime picked up by your discs collect on your pads when you brake at ...

And people laughed when I said that a 5 series kept up with me. The main problem is that the RS4 has some of the worst gearing in the biz. Whenever I shift, I always fall out of the powerband and under 5000rpm, the pull is fairly pathetic for a 420hp motor. So it's quick if you go from a slight rol...

RE: Re: RE: NEXT RS4
4.2 V8 FSI with twin turbos and circa 480-500 would be my guess basing on what they have given the RS6. and the power leap on previous RS releases.
