I bought a 07L121115C (new) from Slovakia for the bargain price of $993.91 (NZD). That is one <beep> expensive Thermostat. Though still about $300 cheaper than Audi dealers quoted me and 079121115AT seems to go for about $1400 online. Everything is relative! The Spareto debacle left me about $50 put...

Or even the "Audi Repair Set - VAG 079 198 121"

The one from Spareto is going up in price and taking longer to ship now... ECS was the wrong part!

Anyone happen to know if the thermostat is interchangeable with the R8 one 079121115AT ???

I think mine needs this as well so thanks very much for the Part number. Anyone happen to know if the Crank seal replacement job is an engine-out one?

Anyone know if there are any after market, all metal solutions to the <beep> plastic sided radiator ? I've been hunting around and not found anything yet.

Looks like I'm getting a new radiator because of that little plastic nozzle in the top corner of the radiator.

I'm kinda hating on the round steering wheel actually. I have a C7 flat-bottomed with a bit of red on it that will go nicely but I need to retrofit it, adjust/replace the clockspring etc..

To partly answer my own question about the Thermostats it looks like it has 3:

Gidday! Thought I'd share my fun with my Coolant problems. I had a coolant leak coming from what I thought was the expansion tank so managed to source a new one and replaced it. Rather hard getting the tube on the bottom (part 18) of it requiring removing the charge pipe and air filter on that drive...

What is the stock boost level on these engines? I think I read somewhere that it hits 22psi which seems rather high? I ended up buying some metal ones (spring and washer instead of rubber diaphragm) similar to the Forge DVs linked above, that look like they be sweet as!

I'll answer my own question - Looks like "06A 145 710" might do the trick!!
