I found the above post to be absolutely correct in my 2021 B9.5 RS5 as well. I also found that the exhaust simulators from burger motorsports, and a set I purchased from ebay didn't prevent the soft codes on mine. Unplug the valves and live with the soft codes seems to be my only choice.

On the B9.5 RS5 2021, when the car is in Comfort or Auto the left flap opens first at moderate throttle input, if your not aggressive with the throttle the Right won't open.
