It was me that did the Merc PVC swap, sorry I don't come on here often and only saw your PM today. Just for reference I've had no issues since fitting.

I've used the original springs as I wanted to retain the original ride height.

My guess would be you had the optional Ceramic brakes fitted from Factory and somebody didn't want to fork out for replacing them! It was probably cheaper to get a second hand used set of Calipers and Discs from a B9 than replacing the Ceramics.

I stripped the diaphragm, cap, and o rings off the Merc PCV and simply fitted them to the Audi PCVs. Car runs perfect again now!

I couldn’t find any information other than this post and another one on the VW vortex forums regarding the diaphragm. It was the VW one that found you could use the Mercedes PCV internals instead.

If we can just buy the diaphragm alone even better, as you can for most PCVs.

Found this post after having the exact same problem! It happened on a weekend for me too so I made up a set of temporary gaskets using an old football bladder.
