2014 RS6 Purchase Advice Request
Hi all, I am considering the purchase of this RS6 (link below) as my daily/second car. Perhaps someone here owned this RS6 in the past? Please share your thoughts and comments. Also, a general question on the C7 platform - Is it as bad as C5/C6, where you need to remove the engine for most jobs? Als...

Re: EGT sensors
Just re scanned the car. No EGT warnings. Either it was a blip or the garage had disturbed something when they installed the new exhaust pipe sleeves. I did have a minor exhaust gas leak at the joint. The new sleeves rectified the exhaust fumes leak. Thats a win! I had issues with one EGT, but a qu...

Re: Looking at buying a 2003 RS6 - a couple questions
Quick update on Cambelt changes. I have recently heard that Audi have changed frequency for changing Cambelts on our cars. I have it on very good authority that the frequency has been extended to 60K miles. I average around 7K miles per year. So I will now do my Cambelt at 6 yearly intervals (inste...

Re: 6 months ownership of 2003 RS6 summary.
Update and 2025 RS6 ownership summary: The last year didn't go very well. Right at the start of the season, gearbox left the chat :audibash: It obviously meant the engine out job, and the gearbox was sent for a rebuild. https://i.ibb.co/Q3Fq5Nsd/engine.png https://i.ibb.co/KpMkZqCr/gb.png Once the e...

Lad from the "Not economically Viable" YT channel did it. I wouldn't use it as a reference, but it gives an idea.shipsmaster wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 1:03 pmHello thanks for the info and pictures, is there any videos here of how do you this or any video showing it being done etc?

Noice! English plates on the RS6+, are they up north (where I am) or over from engeraland for the day? (I didn't know if there were any other RS6+ in NI) We went over for the RS6 Plus to England last year (thread below). He is in the process of getting robbed by the Irish import taxation system the...

Re: Anyone else had theirs from new?
I pose this question from time to time but just interested to know if any other forum members have experienced the joys of ownership from new? I bought my C5 in November 2003 fresh off the production line and it's still giving me smiles every time I drive it. With 71,000 miles on the clock and only...

Re: Slow/stiff steering
Just realised I never closed this off, the system took a couple days to fully bleed itsself out and not have loads of tiny bubbles in the reservoir. But is all working perfectly now, no noise, smooth action as it all should be. I was lucky to get the all air out quickly enough through this steps. I...

Re: Slow/stiff steering
Probably one of the worst jobs I've done on a car, such crap design. 100% not intended to be taken out with the engine in. But it's out now and will be off the be rebuilt this week. I couldn't agree more! I am after doing it on my one due to a massive leak. Like Felix mentioned... it's so tight, th...

Been to the shops for a Chinese takeaway. Parked up in the car park. On return I couldn’t help but admire the car on her stunning looks. It doesn’t matter what angle you view the car from, they just stand out from the norm. That may be helped by the fact that I had the car cleaned and waxed this mo...

Re: Scottish Winter. Car Hibernation
Beautiful clean example
My one is used only in dry conditions; otherwise, it sits in storage. The advantage of living in the west of Ireland is that there is no salt on the roads, so I will reasonably take her out even during the winter.
