RE: Newbie introduction with a request for some advice!

The way I see it, after testing a MY04 STI Impreza, Scooby is much more a driver's car than Audi. It's certainly very entertaining car in spirited driving. Steering is sharp, feedback from the car's behaviour is great and all that. You'll feel more isolated from the outside world when driving the S4...

RE: Which brake setup are you running? Please read 1st post

The first owner of my S4 was apparently some sort of a brake-fanatic, he had had the Porsche 993 turbo setup fitted by MTM at a mere cost of 6500 DM to an othwerwise bog standard car. Well, at least it stops allright, now I only should sort the acceleration part... ;)

Wintertime fun

Trying to keep discussion at least somehow related to topic, I bring you some wintertime fun videos from Santa's land. :bigwave: 1. What, no ESP? -My friend playing lighthouse with his late 99 facelift avant. 2. Audiclub Finland's Icetrackday -This is a teaser from last winter. Now we're waiting her...

RE: Fault codes

I had exactly the same code for key 2, but it didn't work on the car. I had to go to local Audi service to get it adapted again to immobilizer.

RE: Re: RE: snow tyres

I have Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi studless friction tyres in my avant. Size is 225/45-17 on original Avus alloys. I don't know if these are available in the UK, and at what price. Here in Finland those are about €800-900 for a set of 4. The grip is impressive with those, but there's still plenty of fu...

RE: Replacement Wiper Blades

I got me Valeo Aero-type wiper blades, which fit to normal wiper arms. 530 mm blades fit like a glove, look nice and wipe well. Only downside is that they are pricey as hell.

Thought I'd introduce myself on this thread. I'm also a newbie, looking to buy a FL avant in a few months. Been browsing the forum archive lately and found some excellent info. Fell in love with these cars nearly 2 years ago when I first drove my mate's '98 avant in snow. Only now I realized that I ...
