Re: Juddering/kangarooing for first 5 mins?

I bought my car in Jan this year and have exactly the same problem - particularly on light throttle opening. It's not quite as bad now that the mornings are warmer but it is a bit annoying. For those who've had the upgrade to SW0090, do you reckon it's worth it or is the fast idle just as annoying a...

Re: Sadly time to sell my B7 RS4 Avant

Hi Neil I've just started looking for a B7 RS4 Avant (having been without an RS car for nearly 5 years!) and saw your add. I can't get to the details on PH or AutoTrader today - did your adds expire and of Dec? Sadly I've a feeling I did see your car on PH over Xmas and if it was you it looks like y...

RE: Cambelt

I've just spoken to a complete muppet at Audi UK. I asked him whether the belt should be changed at 40k or sooner and he said definitely 40k. Get this though, he didn't take my details so he had no idea what car I've got or how old it is. I can't believe it's 40k for every car in the Audi range past...

RE: Cambelt

I've just done a search on the forums for this and seems like a nest of vipers with no consistency from different audi dealers and audi uk :audibash:
Sooner of 3ys/55k or 40k with no time limit seems to be the contenders!

RE: Cambelt

I don't know where you're based but you could also try Kim Collins at Quatto Sport in Haywards Heath Incidentally what are people's fellings at what mileage this should be done - my service book says 40k. I'm up for a 33k/4year service in a few weeks and my main dealer says the 'Audi Computer' says ...

Whenever and whatever comes next you can bet that the residuals will no way be as good as we've seen with the B5 RS4. By the time the B7 RS4 Avant eventually arrives we may be able to check what the residuals are likely to be from the used car market for the saloon - not a good marketing strategy me...

RE: rs4 vs rs6

The '6 is definitely much more comfortable than the '4, but you wouldn't describe it as massive. I've just taken a new shape A6 avant on a test this evening and that's bigger than the old shape and makes really good use of space. However the power steering is too light with no feedback, the brakes a...

rs4 vs rs6

Sadly I'm going to have to sell the RS4 :( - second sprog on the way and not enough room in the back - me and the missus are both very tall. I had a test drive of an standard RS6 Avant yesterday. Looks and feels like a slightly bigger RS4 when you sit in it but start the engine and there the similar...

High torque DSG gearbox

Acording to this months Evo mag (and of course they're always right  ) they reckon that the new Bugatti Veyron will be supplied with a new VW DSG gearbox for its 1000PS engine! If VW can manage that for 1000 horses surely they can make one for the (somewhat limp in comparison) 420PS new RS4 eng...

Like the sound of that, believe it when I see it though. Didn't someone also say the the Lambo V10 doesn't fit in the A6?
Can we also assume that the new S6 will get the new RS4 engine??

I've just looked at the photos on the Audi UK site. You can clearly see a set of front bumber intercooler gills but thev're forgotten to put the turbos in! What's that all about - is it brake cooling or a deliberate rub your face in it reminder just to p1ss of the turbo enthusiasts. Still, not for m...

I went to Dovercourt Battersea in the end. All very easy and the cheapest service I've had so far (though that doesn't mean it was cheap!)

Thanks John

Sunday Times article...

I was reading in the Sunday Times yesterday that Victoria Audi are the most expensive Audi garage in the country. While my car was still under warranty this is where it used to go. Not any more methinks! So the question is where to go in South London for RS4 servicing? I've used Whites in the past b...
