Re: Specialist for gearbox (ZF) oil service?
FYI, just to follow up... I called ZF in Nottingham earlier and they said (to summarise): -They recommend an oil change at 150,000km/~90,000 miles -An earlier change is recommended if operating in harsh (very hot, very cold) conditions AND/OR if the car is used to pull a trailer regularly -At 50,000...

Specialist for gearbox (ZF) oil service?
Hi all, I have the gearbox oil service kit from ZF and am now a little nervous about giving my local independent the go-ahead for the work, given some issues I've seen on this forum post oil change. Does anyone have a recommended garage? I am willing to travel (I'd rather the job was done correctly ...

What are the service items and internals?
Hi all, I have a MY17 C7.5 with 53k. Full Audi service history etc. but I'm wanting to plan for what's requited (as well as any preventative maintenance). I've heard the following: - Service schedule is dynamic and therefore based on driving conditions etc but yearly oil change is typical (or 10k mi...

Re: Insurance
Mine is now £1300 (was £640) two years ago.
12 years+ NCB, license over 22 years etc. The insurance market losses of the last two years are playing out!

The difference between the min and max mark is 1L iirc.

Sorry to hear that, at least no one is hurt, the car can be replaced.

Re: Odd issue with my 2016 RS6
If you look at the efficiency view on the trip computer you’ll see when it drops in and out of 4 cylinder mode, so you can rule that in/out. Might be the gearbox reengaging perhaps? Try this, it does sound like cylinder deactivation. I can tell when mine (MY17 Performance) drops in/out from four to...

Re: Carplay in 2018 C7
Alternatively, if you'd prefer Audi to enable it, I did this via my local dealer and it cost about £360 iirc. Certainly more expensive but I felt more comfortable with Audi doing it-a few hundred pounds extra on what (then) cost me about £60k wasn't going to break the bank.
Good luck either way!

Looks great, I really think the red suits the C8 (much more so than the C7).

I used eBay when I bought some late last year (the seller doesn't appear to have any at the moment). This seller does though:

Re: 95 petrol
From p.190 of the owner's manual: "The use of super plus petrol (98 RON) is recommended. If that type of fuel is not available, premium petrol (95 RON) can be used with a slight loss of power." It's a performance car, scrimping on fuel (unless you absolutely have to) is probably not a good idea over...

Re: Those of you with Miltek experience - advice needed please
Based on what's described I'd say that mine (MY17 Performance) does the same. When starting I immediately switch to Dynamic for a minute or less then back to Individual. If I stop the car and restart, I have to do the same thing to open the valves up.

Re: Michelin PS4s 285/30R21
Ideally I always have the same all round, but in a pinch I'd go different front to rear but never across the same axle. I've managed to source a matching part worn pirelli p-zero at the same tread depth to replace my punctured tyre, so I can at least still use the car and have ordered a set of PS4S...
