Re: Engine misfire - in 4th gear will not rev past 4,200rpm

I had a misfire on my C8 for around 18 months, it was intermittent and really manifested itself at lower revs (a little above idle) in damp conditions, initially Poole Audi and Audi UK suspected the charcoal cannister system and replaced all of this from their research, which didn't resolve the prob...

Re: Thinking of moving from my c7 Performance to a C8

I did it and really regretted moving to the C8 from a C7 performance. Some of the tech upgrades are great and as you say the C8 looks brilliant, but in my view, there isn't a noticeable performance upgrade and my C8 was incredibly problematic, with a string of unrelated issues, the main one being a ...

Yep mine was done too whilst in for warranty work a couple of weeks ago - it's a 70 reg.

Re: Alternator Fault

I too have experienced the Audi UK customer service and would concur that it is terrible, my C8 spent most of last winter with an intermittent misfire and back and forth to dealer pretty much every month until the weather warmed and dried up a bit and the problem seemed to go away, only for it to re...

Re: Alternator Fault

When I had mis-fire problems my C8 was on and off the road with the dealer for around 4 months, Audi UK also singularly dis-interested, kept referring to the fact that my contract was with the dealer - made my mind up that it's my 4th and last Audi RS6 based upon their attitude, all I can say is goo...

Re: Alternator Fault

It's one thing having the problems in the first place and I accept that every manufacturer has failures, it's quite another thing when it comes to how they resolve those problems and treat the customer - if they try to remove as much pain from the experience as they can, which in my case Audi UK see...

Re: Alternator Fault

Personally, I'd asked the fully authorised person to allow you to speak to the MD, just so you can explain the frustration in person and if they still don't have the time, then perhaps they've given you the answer as to what to do next, given your inconvenience..... My problem was not dissimilar at ...

Re: Alternator Fault

Hi Mike, I feel for you having also had fuel problem faults and dealt with both Audi UK and Audi assist, both of whom demonstarted a level of disinterest, over the several months it took to apparently resolve the problem I had with my C8 RS6 - suffice to say it'll be my last Audi - sorry not to be a...

Re: Any possible relaxing of car configurations?

I had a C7 with DRC and then moved to a C7 performance with the standard air suspension and hated it. For some reason I was convinced by the dealer that the standard/air suspension on the C8 was significantly better and so bought that (I also have a pan roof) but I'm not convinced I made the right c...

Re: Exhaust valve delete

I was looking at this and watched the irritating video with AH, in it the ABT fitter mentions that even in dynamic mode the exhaust valves aren't always open, however, in my experience I couldn't tell when they close if they do in dynamic - is this right or is it as per Tadass' post and it's pointle...

Re: Differential Oil Leak

I had the same on my 70 reg RS6 as well and it took 3 weeks for the bits from Germany to arrive. What's more annoying is that mine has had a periodic misfire at idle when warm that the dealer are now on their fourth attempt to solve, wish I'd stuck with my C7 performance. Build quality on these C8s ...
