RE: Thank you Quattro
How good is the quattro system?
I once managed to get my Peugeot stuck in a wet field (Silverstone car park) how would the S4 cope with wet grass & mud? anyone tried!
I guess letting a little air out would help gain some grip?

Your not going to like the price of the EGT sensor. Make sure you are sitting down. Looks like i need both of my EGT's replaced, but i can't afford it this side of christmas. I'm tempted to have a go myself but a quick search on this forum makes the left one sound like a nightmare to change. Luckil...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: vag-com
I'm sorry guys, i never meant to cause such offence. my intentions were to help out Buzzard. I bought my cable from an ebay seller who sent me the software. To be honest the ebay cable is very unstable and if i need to use it regularly i'll be buying an official vagcom I'm unable to edit the post my...

are these new fault codes? the dealers simply wipe them and see if they recur after a short drive. It's the first time i've hooked up the vag com so hopefully they will go away for a while! As for the locks & Windows fault, it's definately the cl pump in the boot. (Good call philipwalker) After a '...

Comfort module eh?, looks like i'll have to take the door apart and have a look. 'fault codes' hmm, i'm having a bit of a struggle getting Vag com to comunicate properly but i did manage to get one rather nasty looking scan today i'll attach it VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N Chassis Type: 8D - Aud...

RE: C/locking & E/windows stopped working?
Luckily the doors will lock by manualy pushing the door pins down,
but there's an unhealthy resistance when i do this and i'd rather not cause any more damage!
Unfortunately there's no way of manualy lifting the windows! so they're staying firmly shut 'til i cure the fault

C/locking & E/windows stopped working?
I think i've got a problem with the drivers door electrics. every now and then i find that the central locking & electric windows stop working. When it happens the locks wont operate with the fob and with the key it's very heavy and just does the one door. Also none of the windows will move using an...
