I had a noise from mine and felt a bit heavy. I’ve just flushed the fluid,it looked dirty and smelt.It feels really light now with no noise.

I have a set of recently refurbished wheels in anthracite with winter Michelin tyres. Rs6 c5

It’s really not that bad a job. Just lots of bits. I had to do it in between jobs at work. I don’t mind doing jobs like this. Shame I’m not closer. I’m doing the crank pulley seal at the same time so have to wait until Saturday to put the rest back together.

I’ve just removed mine and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Does anyone have the torque and sequence to tighten the bolts. Doing the crank seal as well and found the Lamborghini symbol.

I guess that leaves me with a choice of sharing the driving with the c6 rs6. Or break it.

I have a 2005 rs6. It’s done 102k and standard apart from coil overs and head unit.
The gearbox has never been changed and this seems to be putting buyers off. Drives perfect and just had gearbox service. My first rs6 had a box every 40k. Are the later boxes better?

Does anyone replace the shaft,tube and flange when doing this?

Thanks for the info. Prices are much cheaper at Scuderia. All part numbers are the same. Audi are definitely greedy.

I’ve just purchased a c6 to go with my c5. I knew it had the oil pump leaking and will be doing it in the next couple of weeks. I spoke to TPS today and they are quoting £38 -£49 per seal. Does this sound right.

I might be looking at selling my 2005 silver avant in the next few weeks as I’ve just bought a C6. 101k full history. Just had Mot and service. Cam belt 2 years ago.Gearbox is being serviced next week.
Roof lining is sagging as usual. Excellent drive. Pm me if interested
