Re: Headlight rebuild, obscure part wanted.
The missing bit is nowhere to seen, I checked the other light; it’s the same, one damaged one good, no missing bit. Seems strange part to fail. The OEM is Hella, that didn’t provide any luck on the search either. As I said; once it’s pushed home it feels secure enough to reassemble, so I’ll do that....

Can’t find a part number.
This diagram is the closest I’ve got… Unfortunately it doesn’t include all the bits inside the lens.

Headlight rebuild, obscure part wanted.
I’ve just started to renovate a pair of headlights. The lenses were already done but the reflector for the cluster was loose so I decided to dismantle the unit to investigate. 5EAC81AB-CF31-4D4D-939F-033EED587119.jpeg Anyway the upshot was that it had come adrift of the 3 adjustment sockets. Unfortu...

Re: Timing chain service and torque converter replacement.
Well it looks like around £300 for each turbo, that’s a worst case ‘replace all worn parts’ including uprated bearings and CHRA, that’s from Turbo Rebuild Ltd near Blackpool, turn-around no more than a week. Owen Developments are getting back to me tomorrow. I didn’t bother the other contact; that w...

Re: Timing chain service and torque converter replacement.
I looked into the hybrid turbo thing a while back and thought I might consider it. Revisiting now it doesn’t seem so clear. Is it a case of sending them away for refurbishment with the assembly being upgraded or is there more to it? I’ve found the following specialists looking through other posts: h...

Re: Timing chain service and torque converter replacement.
Hi Shop, thanks for the reply. Going to stay pretty much standard. I’ll replace the exhaust with a custom one once this work is done, a previous owner deleted the back boxes and used some big ol’ pipe in its place so it drones bad until you’re on top of the gear. I will consider a remap in the futur...

Timing chain service and torque converter replacement.
Hello, 1st proper post... I own a 2003 Avant in Daytona grey, black optic, black leather, carbon trim pretty much stock. 0BA97772-F2EF-4F43-B441-5B4D4671EB4D.jpeg I’m now at that point where a big job is approaching in the form of a timing chain service and a replacement Torque converter. In recent ...
