Re: Gearbox specialist in Scotland?

What trouble are you having? The car had the gearbox removed and rebuilt because it was slipping in all gears. It was then tuned and the gearbox ECU replaced (allegedly) Since then second gear is not behaving correctly. It is unpredictable when it shifts, sometimes clunks into gear and sometimes sl...

Hi, Long, long story, but I have a 2003 RS6 saloon with a gearbox which has been rebuilt and I suspect has not been done properly. I'm getting nowhere with the people who did it, so I'm looking to get a second opinion. Is there a reputable specialist in Scotland I can approach. I'm at the end of my ...

Re: Oh god not again...

Nice one. Thanks

My mechanic put the reader on the car. It can communicate with the CCM, but the door motors are shorted to ground. It may just be wiring, but I think I'll have a backup unit just in case.

Oh god not again...

So, after fixing my windscreen, which was the wrong one, causing leaks into the car and destroying the CCM, I had another one fitted and dried out the car. Unfortunately after a couple of days, the car now does not respond to the remote, all the doors are deadlocked and I can only use the drivers do...

Re: Leak

Thanks very much, that's very helpful. My screen is obviously not right, so hopefully Autoglass will have the correct one next week.

Re: Leak

No one got a pic they can post?

I've got Autoglass coming to fit a new screen, but I'd like to know what it should look like.

Thanks

Yeah, that's almost certainly the source of your leak. Probably not the proper UV shielded windscreen either I'm betting.
Thanks. I've ordered a new screen anyway.

Leak

Hi folks, I'm new to the forum, as I've just bought a 2004 RS6. The car is in superb condition, with 73,000 miles and has been really well maintained. However, it has a bad water leak, which has already cause problems with the comfort module (which had to be replaced). Water is leaking into the pass...
