New Water Ingress Culprit
Hi All Noticed my car misting up the other day for the first time in 6 yrs of ownership which is good I suppose but I didn’t enjoy the defrosting of the windscreen on the outside and the inside🤬. So had the car in the workshop today and found the drivers floor to be a bit wet not sodden which was go...

Re: Non Audi problem... Any electricians / headlight experts that can help?
Don’t mate it’s nuts what’s out there now and what’s coming . Have you come across the matrix headlamps in the later high ends Audis, you have to have a 12k digital beam setter to set them up then gen Audi software to programme them and then carry out an ADAS calibration after your done !! Crazy mon...

Re: Non Audi problem... Any electricians / headlight experts that can help?
Hi Sid Basically the modern Mercedes headlamps are not worth the plastic and LED’s they are made of. We have replaced a few headlamps and modules on all different types of mercs for various faults. We have a CLA coming in soon to have the drivers headlamp replaced due to the LED not working. the cus...

Re: Cable identification in engine loom
Hi Mate
Check under the N/S/F chassis leg as there is a little water pump there.(well at least there is on mine).
Or it might be for the cooling fan module thing that also lives there.

Re: Please identify these rusty pipes.....
Job well done by Ricky and his team at Watford. They’ve just got me out of trouble with an old Xj6 Jag PAS pipe and oil cooler pipe as well.
Pleased you got it sorted and give your nephew a pat on the back for getting the pipe off without it damaging anything

Re: front brake pad recommendations
I literally order these about two weeks ago although my discs were £341.00 each but the pads were the same sort of price. I’m fitting mine this weekend. Fingers crossed the non gen discs will be up to the job, not that I drive it really hard though. Tradition want £741.00 per disc which is a rip!!! ...

Re: Please identify these rusty pipes.....
Hi Ric Yes the one I fitted is fully flexible, if I remember correctly the pipe has an angle on the end where it goes onto the oil filter housing. I still have my old ones just in case and also managed to get all of mine off bar one without them destroying the threads but i reckon I could fix it if ...

Re: Please identify these rusty pipes.....
Fingers crossed the oil cooler end comes undone without destroying the thread on the cooler, if it does there’s a good looking secondhand one for sale on eBay at the moment. Here’s a couple of pics of when I did mine, I managed to get all the pipes from Audi except one which I sourced from RS Carpar...

Re: Rear drive shaft joint separation
Yeah tap it from the red side but hit it where the bolt goes into the shaft then straighten the joint up and hit it from the other side with a soft hammer or use a drift on the joint where the shaft is sitting into it. Hope that makes sense. Have you got a vice to put it in?

Re: Rear drive shaft joint separation
Hi Chris Most Vag cars cv joints are just knock offs. They have a snap ring which just locks them in place. The method I use to get them off is knock it on first then hit the other side and it should just come off. If you have a copper hammer or dead blown use that so you don’t damage the joint also...

Re: Water in OSR footwell.
Do you have a sunroof ? If so could be a roof drain that’s leaking somewhere and running into the footwell. Check your boot as wel just in case. If not it could be coming through the door Membrane behind the door card. Also check the door drains they could be blocked. Other than that it’s going to b...
