Hi Rupert
Reminds me of the time I drove back from Germany (other side of Frankfurt) to Calais on one tank of fuel in the S6 (didn't change gear for 400+ miles).
Much better than my best - where were you?
Richard

Hi Shy Rachel My experience suggests that if you can get to Northampton then APS at Brackley is a nice spin down the A43. Big service should be around £450. They are excellent. Got taken to the cleaners by Audi for the cambelt at about your mileage. Be very careful if using them to get a written quo...

Anyone know R56 LTD?
Hi All
Keep seeing this one (Blue RS6 Saloon) on my way to work in the Chalfonts - wondered if its keeper was on the site - meet up for a beer maybe?
Good plate though.

Nice to see you emerge unscathed (and the car of course). I'm with SteveH and have kept a spare which lives in the boot (well fills it really) until we go on holiday (perhaps an Avant would be a better idea after all). Grant has my other spare and I think he's heading the same way - also useful if y...

Is it the retract only mode after being fully extended?
Only solution is to reel in belt, take saw to furniture - much cheaper than Audi parts

On the S6 I had the fuel sensor had a broken wire which would connect until it was about 1/4 full then suddenly report empty - (as usual Audi wanted to dismantle complete car and dashboard etc to look for it while emptying my wallet). I dismantled the sender from the tank (quite tricky until you hav...

Did mine at 40k / happened to be around 3 years as well. There's a post somewhere about how much it all cost - make sure you know what they think they are doing as the random number generator works for which bits get done and how much it all costs.
Good Luck.

RE: Audi loan cars
Amersham always used to give out A3/A4s never anything nicer even when it was their fault (see previous posts) for both S8 and RS6 . So how some of you seem to do better beats me - constant source of disapointment and missed sales opportunity on VAG side. rjpatrick 80 2.8E (Sold) S6 1994 (sold) S8 (...

Hi Cfcdoc I have to admit that I'm suprised that others get such poor MPG. I drive 10 miles to work - mixed fast dual carriageway and urban, usually get a real 20 mpg, creeps up to 22 - 24 out of town (90-100) on Mways (overseas obviously;) . Couldn't do more and retain licence. Competent servicing ...
