Was thinking same... I believe the overall weight limit on the roof is 90kg. I used that as my guide when fitting bars/bike rack/bikes etc.

Re: OEM Sport exhaust.......
My B9 has chrome tips and to the best of my knowledge (as the second owner and based on the lack of a sports exhaust reference in the optional equipment list in My Audi app) I have the standard exhaust.
Can't comment with any certainty I'm afraid on whether it's a simple swap out though.

Audi Heritage and others - Caffeine & Machine - 12/2/22
Popped along to the afternoon session of their Winter weapon meet yesterday. A good few RS & S in what was the usual eclectic mix of rides that you get at the place. 20220212_131517.jpg 20220212_131616.jpg 20220212_145830.jpg 20220212_145932_LI.jpg 20220212_145955.jpg 20220212_150405.jpg 20220212_15...

Re: B9 RS steering wheel size same as other S/RS models? - Steering wheel lock
The small Disklok fits perfectly. Didn't go with the Stoplok in the end.
Just need to be a little careful when putting the lock on the wheel so as not to mark it, so I bought a cheap and cheerful cover to go over the wheel first.

Re: Build Spec
I found this online in the past but I can't make any guarantees about the accuracy of it : http://prsearch.planetvag.com/ If you could get a seller to take a piccy of the build codes sticker but without the VIN number included (hopefully they'd be more receptive to this), then you could punch the co...

Re: PPF and wrapping specialist info
If you'd travel to Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire - Can recommend Auto waxworks in Bicester/Silverstone for PPF. www.autowaxworks.co.uk
Believe they also offer a collection/delivery service with their own covered trailer.
Afraid can't help with the other bits.

Re: Strong smell of fuel
Different fuel brand to what you usually fill with? I'm no fuel expert but believe the different brands have varying concoctions/concentrations of additives, particularly octane enhancers. These *might* affect the intensity of the smell. Recent weeks events have resulted in me deviating from Momentu...

Re: Blue engine light when you turn on vehicle
^^ Cheers... I guess it would probably say something about it in the warning lights section of the manual? No reference to the light in mine but wasn't expecting there to be.
Congrats on the car btw!

Re: Blue engine light when you turn on vehicle
Pre facelift B9 owner here, so no blue light. Out of curiosity, for the OP.. at roughly what oil temp have you noticed the blue light go off? Would be interested to see what point Audi thinks that the oil temp is sufficient. Like others have said.. I tend to wait until oil temp is at least 80 deg be...

Re: RS4 B9 now quieter after front resonator delete
I thought (perhaps wrongly!) that all resonators did was modify the exhaust tone, so removing them wouldn't make the exhaust any louder, it would just sound 'different'. You've mentioned the lack of the bass tone, which could stack up with this view. Do you remember hi-fi stereos years ago used to h...

Re: Wrapping the RS
Have you considered ppf'ing it (or part of it)? Doesn't degrade from the stunning red finish but would showcase your skills as a wrapper and might trigger some upsell opportunities to customers wanting to give their pride and joy more protection after you've worked your magic on the bodywork. You'll...

Just bumping this as my renewal is due in a month or so. Wondering how the OP got on with their investigations in cost vs policy quality etc.

I seem to recall that AIB insurance were either forum sponsors or supporters in some way in the past. https://www.aib-insurance.co.uk/products/car-insurance/performance-car-insurance I can't personally recommend them yet but was going to give them a chance to quote when my renewal comes up in a coup...

I believe the forthcoming E10 change is only going to be on 95 Octane Unleaded. 98/99 Octane will remain E5 (for now at least...)

Mine a MY18 B9. Can't help on the HUD I'm afraid. Paper manual wise, I only have the main user manual but that has the VIN and options codes sticker inside the first page. No 10 pager service schedule. 2 keys only on mine and that tallies with the number of activated keys in the 'Car Information' se...
