FIS Tyre Pressure - TPMS + CU65
I'm trying to work out if the garage installed a required optional wire to enable a tyre pressure reading in the FIS. You need to run a wire between the FIS unit and OBD socket pin 15 to enable the reading. I'd guess they didn't. Screenshot_20240327-071535.png I'm hoping to read the live bar reading...

Re: FIS Control
interestingly i can access the ecu data through the FIS. PXL_20240324_133223270.jpg is there a mapping table somewhere online that would tell me what these values are for? getting somewhere. i need to add the upper/lower limits for the bar graph. i guess these would be specific to the tune and would...

Re: FIS Control
between the FIS data need, realising it wouldn't have been that hard to install the hardware, the garage not getting the FIS to work, and the dash scuff, I'll buy myself a Vagcom and do what work I can myself. I'm kicking myself now, with the never ending DIY flat reno I didn't have the headspace fo...

Re: FIS Control
now I'm unemployed i found the time to mess around with the FIS unit. getting it to work was not as simple as appears. In the end Stefan from the FIS-Control forum was really helpful +there are full instructions. mine wasn't doing as expected. one thing to note is that although in theory you can acc...

Re: dashboard scuff repair... heatgun+CarPro Perl (waterbased silicon oxide)
i don't I could get enough heat with the hairdryer. i think some of the very light scuffs faded. the plastic didn't get that hot. i think a lot of the change came from a good clean and the carpro perl silicone oxide treatment. not convinced it'll touch the scuff at the instrument cluster. PXL_202403...

Re: Leather care options for the seats?
In the end it took two mornings. The photos don't do it justice. It really has changed the feeling of the cabin. The leather hasn't got the thin greying lines anymore. Now it feels looks a well looked after classic. (I also had mine for four years without doing anything) I'll now do it every Spring ...

Re: dashboard scuff repair... heatgun+CarPro Perl (waterbased silicon oxide)
i just looked back at the original sale photos and it's not there. that means someone did it when they fitted the cluster when they fitted the FIS unit. i guess i've learned my leason. seems i can't trust the garage not to damage the car. i think i'll do all the interior related work myself so i tak...
