Re: Disc and Pad Wear

Just a thought, do you have sticky caliper pistons / slide pins? But having the problem on several calipers at once seems odd. I had a sticky piston on a front caliper on a previous A4. The piston boot had let a little dirt in which stopped it moving back enough and heated it up. The piston had actu...

Re: Front discs/caliper

My 2018 RS4 B9 has 375mm x 36mm front disc's.

These are a 'floating' discs with a fixed caliper attached to the front wheel hub. Most cars are solid disc's with 'floating' calipers.

I hope this helps

Re: Disc and Pad Wear

There are disc's and pads, and there are disc' and pads. My first set of OEM disc's and pads lasted 40k, the new ones I fitted have worn a lot better. I'm now on 101K :bigblink: and they still have meat on them. Most of my driving is motorway etc, so like you; not much heavy braking. As you haven't ...

Re: Strut tower gromet

Check out 8W0803593, it looks right. If you pop the one you've still got out. a. Does it fit the other side? b. If it does, I think the part number may be on the underside which you can double check against. c. If it is the same, put the part number in google search. There seem to be several reselle...

Re: Multiple Faults on Dash - Help

I'm thinking there is a fault on one of the CANBUS systems, without looking at the schematics to check the faults against various modules. My 2018 has three, as well as LIN, MOST and Flexray! You don't say how old your car is so you may have more. So either there is a communication problem between m...

Re: OBD Scanner

Topdon, Launch or Thinkcar all seem to have offerings to suit varying size wallets. They all seem to come with lifetime free updates, but be careful as I think this is the lifetime of the product, so that may only be a few years. If your looking for a cheap tool to open your RS's rear calipers a che...

Re: Squeaky Steering

I'm guessing the squeak is metalic as opposed to plastic in which case there are two universal joints on the steering column, one at the back of the steering column mount to the dash and the other just before the column passes through the engine bulkhead. I would possibly start there.

Re: Service

Ring Audi service and ask if there is a service plan on on your car, there is on my 2018 RS4. They have offered me one several times now, two services for the price of about 2/3rds that of two separate ones. Note my car is on the flexible 18,000 mile / yearly service plan as 90% of my driving is on ...

Re: Brake fluid change frequency

The modern brake fluids absorb water over time, the old stuff lasted for ever but apparently wasn't very kind to the environment as a result it needs changing reguarly.
It also means Audi have another reason to empty your bank account!

Re: Spark plug upgrade

Just a few questions, why not use the recommended NGK SILKGR9A7ES? Is your car standard or tuned? Are you having ignition / performance problems? What increase in 'performance' are you thinking you may gain by changing the plug type? What does your tuner say you should be running? Don't forget runni...

If you can hear your DRC system making a noise over the exhaust note, your not driving fast enough! :rocker: :bigblink:

Having a quick look your wire colours and attachment points look right.
The constant live looks like the garage door opener supply on my wiring diagrams, if fitted.

I hope this helps

Re: Misano Red 2019 RS4 - Progress Build

Misano Red is a beautiful colour when its clean. My A4 S-line Black Edition was the same colour. Do keep an eye out on pressure washing any stone chips in the clear coat as it will strip it off the colour coat with ease as demonstrated by an Audi dealership once! Apparently it is well known that the...

Re: RJW’s RS4

I got a pair of ebay for about £14 instead of £££ from Audi
They are now 5 years old and are still brighter and have a better projected definition than the genuine ones in the front doors.

Re: New RS4 Owner issues

I have a 2018 RS4 B9 and my water temp is fixed on the outer section of the LHS of the main screen of the cluster shown by white LED's above your odometer reset button behind the LHS horizontal bar of your steering wheel. The opposite side to your fuel gauge. Now as to where the oil temp is depends ...
