Engine Repair
Hi gurus, I am looking for some advice on how to repair my engine after a "minor freak incident"! One of the intake manifold flap screws came out at about 1200 RPM as I was slowing down to turn into work one morning and has gone through No 5 cylinder. I am pretty sure the cylinder head can be repair...

Re: HP Fuel rail pressure
Oh, and from what I see on ERWIN and the literature I have, both High Pressure fuel pumps feed into a single pipe that feeds both rails, which is why there is only one pressure sensor on bank 2 left hand bank, cyls 5 - 8 (see pages 30 and 31 of the attached PDF)

Re: HP Fuel rail pressure
Thanx for the input. The High pressure does fluctuate, and does go quite high, must admit to not knowing how high, glancing at my laptop screen while thrashing the engine at WOT is not something I recommend doing! Will try looking at the pressures after turning the key to ACC, but to be honest, only...

HP Fuel rail pressure
Hi Gurus! Looking for some assistance with my 2007 B7 RS4.I am a pretty logical thinker, a mechanic, and I like to work through things in a sequence. My RS4 takes a few seconds of swinging to fire when cold, and when she does fire, misfires, or stutters for a second or two before settling down to a ...

Re: TPMS woes
Thanx for all the input, joining this forum was well worth it!!
I will do as you both suggested and re-enable the TPMS display and troubleshoot from there. I will provide more feedback and possibly ask for more guidance after completing your checks

Re: TPMS woes
Thanx for the reply, it looks like the TPMS system was coded out of the cluster because of the warning, which would lead me to believe there was a fault of some kind. I will recode and go through the wheel change procedure. I have not seen this procedure yet, but from your explanation I assume it is...

TPMS woes
Hi, first time.posting here, and I am having a problem with the 2007 RS4 B7 I have bought. Love the car (why wouldn't you) but the tpms system has been coded out of the instrument cluster, which is not a problem, I can enable that as I have vcds. What I need to know is how to view the live data, do ...
