Cheers guys. Many thanks for the advice.
Will give it a go to swop the internals.
I already have VCDS and have coded the fobs before.

Remote control
Has anyone swooped the internals of their remote central locking fobs into a new casing.
Had to replace the batteries in mine today.
The fob works fine but it’s looking its age.
Found this on eBay.

Re: Looking at buying a 2003 RS6 - a couple questions
Quick update on Cambelt changes. I have recently heard that Audi have changed frequency for changing Cambelts on our cars. I have it on very good authority that the frequency has been extended to 60K miles. I average around 7K miles per year. So I will now do my Cambelt at 6 yearly intervals (instea...

Re: Changing chain tensioners!
Yeah I do enjoy watching Super Ron’s how to,s.
Don’t know if I would be brave enough to use cheaper Chinese made tensioners.
Then again Ron’s happy with them.

Re: EGT sensors
Just re scanned the car.
No EGT warnings. Either it was a blip or the garage had disturbed something when they installed the new exhaust pipe sleeves. I did have a minor exhaust gas leak at the joint. The new sleeves rectified the exhaust fumes leak.

Re: EGT sensors
Hi Ben.
Yes mate I wondered about both failing at the same time.
Both say intermittent faults.
I have cleared them.
Check again in about a week or so.
I don’t think they have been unplugged.
I did have the exhaust coupling/sleeves replaced a few weeks back.

EGT sensors
Hi all. Been a bit busy just lately with appointments. So I haven’t scanned the car for some time. Scanned this morning and EGT errors came up on both sensors. Not too worried at the moment as I saw a new pair for sale. Couldn’t resist them so I bought them even though they were bloody expensive. An...

Re: Odd one...
This is a great thread and very informative. I bought a new original F125 switch a few years back in anticipation of when it fails.
Haven’t had the need to use it yet.
Still on the original F125 switch.
Reckon I have tempted fate now though.
Covered 142 K miles.

Re: Fitted new TPMS - TX-S001 Direct Fit TPMS Sensor
Craig.
I went years without TPMS. Then I had sensors fitted. I wouldn’t be without this facility now.
I run at 42 Psi. Which I believe is 2.9 Bar.
