Re: Bleed Clutch - Without lowering gearbox?

Yes I recall when the car was on the ramp that to get the bolt back in you had to reach in from below, blind, to start it.

Re: Bleed Clutch - Without lowering gearbox?

That's a superb effort and great write up on how to access that bolt with the angle on the sockets.

Re: Bleed Clutch - Without lowering gearbox?

Bleeding the clutch will make a big difference. The clutch is supposed to be bled first then the brakes when ever a fluid change is done. Most people don’t do it due to the effort required. This leads to really old fluid in that section which cause high pedal, and in my opinion is the cause of the s...

Re: Bleed Clutch - Without lowering gearbox?

Yes it can be done without lowering gearbox. The heatshield is unbolted, 3 bolts to gain access to the bleeder from underneath. I watched my local specialist doing it with the car on the ramp in the air. The third bolt for the shield is a pig to undo but can be done. In all it took them around an ho...

Re: Looking for Audi RS4 Avant B7

I agree.

For a 20k mileage cars I've seen auctions at over £50k.
For a 30k mileage car which has had everything done to it I wouldn't even bother looking unless I had a minimum of £30k

Doing some good work there. i recall on my earlier Daytona B7 having to have the front brake line done. What a mission and got Awesome Gti to do it in the end.

JamesBaby’s B7 RS4 Avant Daytona & Phantom

RS4 B7 – Oil Burning issue resolved. I had an oil burning issue on my car which I have resolved. I was having to put over a litre of oil in per 1000 miles, and gradually more often. Car is a daily and at around 120k miles. The symptoms were occasional puffs of smoke at cold start, as well as a smok...
