That could have been me,i was on m25 around 4pm and did get off at junc 10 if that sounds about right this is the first time ive been spotted

Jimbo that video is spot on,this is exactly what happened to mine,i think you only need the new collar and the carbon covered syncro.Just remember to ask for the repair kit from the dealers ,if you buy parts seperatly it works out at nearly double the cost.

Was there any untoward noises before you stopped the car.If it was me i would get a second opinion from a specialist ie mrc etc.In my experience audi dont know what there talking about.
