Re: B7 rs4 avant de-chrome
Ok,I'm in the process of spraying the front grill. I'm gonna give it 4 or 5 coats. Ive given it a few coats of grey etch primer. I've bought some lacquer as well. This might seem a stupid question as I've never used lacquer before but I take it you spray it on after the last coat of matt black has d...

Re: B7 rs4 avant de-chrome
All I can see on eBay is rails for roof box's and a few for a4's in silver. I might just take them off and get them wrapped.

Re: B7 rs4 avant de-chrome
That's great. I'll have a look through that when I get 5. I've actually had the headlining down before as I swapped the sunroof over as it was damaged. It shouldn't be to bad a job. I'd rather have the rails off if they're going to be wrapped. I think ill go for matt black now. If you are going to ...

Re: B7 rs4 avant de-chrome
Thanks for the advice. Would matt black be a better option then? Do you have to drop the headlining to remove the rails as I can't seem to see any caps covering fixings etc I think so personally but it depends on the look you want and the colour of your car. Part of it yes, here’s the guide I follo...

Re: B7 rs4 avant de-chrome
Most common way to do it is spray the grill and wrap the window trim and rails. I swapped my rails as it isn’t that big a job, I also got my window trims wrapped as a back hander but wish I had paid do get it done right the first time, I will do in time. A few folk have gone gloss black and regrett...

B7 rs4 avant de-chrome
I was after some advice about de-chroming my b7 avant and wondered what's the best way to go about it. Is it best to get the chrome parts ie window frames, grille, roof rails wrapped or professionaly sprayed? Is there a like for like kit available to swap the parts over? I was after a gloss black fini...

Re: 2006 b7rs4 engine management, epc & traction control light all on.
You need to install the new throttle body and go to erase the DTC's. Not even facebook or whatsapp mate? I can give you some instructions how to install it and send you some photos from the workshop manual if it helps. Mrc are fitting it plus they'll give it a service as well. Yeah I'm on Facebook....

Re: 2006 b7rs4 engine management, epc & traction control light all on.
The throttle body is knackered and I'm not paying £1500 Like audi have quoted me😂. I've sourced a guaranteed used one off eBay for £200. Fingers crossed that's ok. Audi quotes are insane! Get the throttle body and if you can install it yourself it's not that difficult, or take a quick trip to MRC b...

Re: 2006 b7rs4 engine management, epc & traction control light all on.
Also they ESP light might came on because your steering angle needs calibration. Go directly to MRC you don't have to spend that 60 pounds in the dealership. what mods does your car have? I'm planning to get flap delete, aftermarket exhaust , and remap but i don't know if i'm gonna keep it because ...

Re: 2006 b7rs4 engine management, epc & traction control light all on.
The most common issues with the EPC light is brake switch , throttle body, or the intake flaps has stock. Do you have any VCDS scans? My RS4 b7 has 76000 miles on it and i noticed leak from the crankshaft seal. Having a high mileage RS4 starts to become very expensive mate! DINOS Hi,No I haven't an...

Re: 2006 b7rs4 engine management, epc & traction control light all on.
Hi,ok so i started my car for our journey from South devon back to the Midlands last night and the epc and traction control light were on and wouldn't go off. After the car warmed up they both went off but about 4 miles later they came back on. The car then started running terribly, misfiring and ne...
