RNS/E & iPhone
Collected my new car last week, and R8 Spyder. Have managed to sync up my iPhone without problem, but there's an annoying "feature" I cannot find a workaround. My contacts on the phone are stored, firstname, surname in that order. When connected, the car is displaying the contacts in reverse order. ...

MMI & iPhone - contacts in wrong order
I picked up a shiny new R8 Spyder yesterday, but I'm having difficulties setting the listing order for contacts in the MMI, when linked to an iPhone. The contacts are being listed with surname first, but on my iPhone, they are first name first. Anyone with a clue how to change the display order?? Ch...

Have tried driving round a bit - well, for 3 days since I got back. Still no joy. Really would like to avoid a trip to the stealers, if I can help it. I think it must be something to do with a sensor "misread", due to the car being sat there while the temperature outside dropped. Just had a thought ...

Tyre Pressure Warning
Have just returned home from a 1 month business trip to dramatically lower temperatures. The RS4 has been garaged during my trip. On return, the red tyre pressure warning light is illuminated on firing the engine - in the DIS. I've checked tyre pressures and all seem OK, but cannot seem to access th...

RE: R8 slot up for grabs
Just to clarify, incase anyone has the wrong idea / impression. The dealer has already said that they will refund the deposit - not a problem, and I will go down that route unless anyone shows an interest. I just thought that there maybe someone out there, having seen the press shots / launch detail...

R8 slot up for grabs
Well, I've been having a good think about my potential purchase of the R8 and decided against. I have a 2K deposit with Leeds Audi, placed in Feb this year (if memory serves me). If anyone is interested in the R8 and wishes to get an advanced slot, let me know, and I will see if Leeds will swap the ...

I placed my deposit in October last year - 2K. Having seen the pictures of the back end on Pistonheads (big red band), I decided to ask my dealer what the score was - was this the finished article. I didn't like the back end - reminds me of a Honda. He assured me that the one he saw at the "dealer l...

The big answer I would like to know, is whether it will have a "real" manual paddle gearbox, or a "semi-auto" like the RS6 in manual mode. The RS6 used to drive me mad when it decided to change gear, when I wanted it to "stay put". I think the answer to that will sway whether I take delivery or canc...

RE: Tyres - Beware!!!
Cheers for the hint re. Costco - will have to use them next time though, as the car was not legally drivable - the loader dropped it at Audi. Needed a visit to check it over before the run to Le Mans next Wednesday anyway. Guess I will have to suffer the high price this time.
Cheers, Mark

Tyres - Beware!!!
Hi All, Well, having covered 3.2K miles now, I decided to have a run on the track last Saturday. All in all, a fantastic drive - after 2 sessions, I decided to switch the traction control fully off, and the car handled like an absolute dream. Was running at Elvington, which as some may know, is not ...
