Re: Winter Tyre Suggestions
Now that I’ve got rid of the Range Rover, the RS6 is now the winter beauty. By previous experience of road tyres in the snow, the car would barely get up my slight inclined driveway, so I’m contemplating a set of winter tyres. 285s on 21 rims. Any suggestions on brand? Is it worth getting a second ...

Re: Thule system and speed limits
I took Thule bars with bikes to South France at speeds higher than that. Nothing silly, but a decent cruise. Have also travelled well with Kamei box on Thule bars. A bit quicker at times. Never had any drama, I wouldn’t worry at all about bars on their own, with the possible exception wind noise and...

Re: Boot bike carrier
I used Thule roof bars on a previous BMW - very good and went to South of France with them at a decent clip. If I was considering one now, it would depend on the number and type of bikes - throwing a couple of road bikes up there is easy enough, but full suss MTBs would be trickier. Because of all t...

Re: Standard Air Suspension
Hi Does "Raise" in the pic below confirm a standard air sprung, non-DRC car? https://f7432d8eadcf865aa9d9-9c672a3a4ecaaacdf2fee3b3e6fd2716.ssl.cf3.rackcdn.com/C3423/U14/IMG_1280-large.jpg Thanks Not conclusive, but I have air on my C7 PE and have a screen like that - raises or lowers by about an in...

Re: Boot bike carrier
Have you tried a Saris bones? I had one previously and think it should work on RS6.
I used to put motorbike webbing between the brackets, the straps and the car as I didn’t trust the standard protection.

Re: Keep damaged OEM alloys for resale??
Hi everyone. After a bit of advise please, I’ve recently got a 2015 C7 RS6 which had 4 buckled alloys(21 inch 5 spoke)and now one is cracked[emoji30]. As the roads seem to be shocking everywhere I’ve ordered some vossens as they have a lifetime structural warrantee. Shame as I like the originals. I...

Re: C7
Hi everyone I’m looking to buy an RS6 C7 (2015 or newer) in the next few weeks and was hoping for advice from you kind gentlemen. My budget is ideally low £40k’s but may have to up it. Re: RS6 alloy wheel change
I would avoid the 5 spoke ones I have one my C7PE as per pic. I have two OEM sets (summer/winter) and each swap they require repairs for buckling. Until these wheels I have never had a buckled wheel in my life. (I think there's a whole thread on this). I would go for 20" or the other design on the P...

Re: Drc v air
I test drove a car on air but wouldn't have ordered a car if air was the only option. It's not true that you have to drive it within an inch of its life to tell the difference; I could tell the difference at 10mph going round a roundabout. Far too soft and wallowy for me. If you ever intend on towi...

Re: £100k Budget Decision
Be interested to know your impressions Scotty and whether you got a deal. I've been thinking about an Alpina for some time now, almost tempted to go for the B3 Touring or look for a low mileage D3 and have a fun car alongside. B5 was brand new when I was looking..... but the best deal I could get w...

Re: £100k Budget Decision
After reading this post I stepped up my search for an alternative to the RS6 Performance, having already been looking for some time, and have just agreed a deal on a 19 plate Alpina B5 Bi Turbo Touring with only 3k on the clock. It's a completely different beast, as you may know, but still gives me...

Re: £100k Budget Decision
I've had the same difficult question bugging me for a while now too... looked at the Panamera as one of the only real options out there but ideally need 5 seats and the Sport Turismo only allows for 4 and would need to decide which child i leave behind each time i leave the house. New RS is not doi...

Re: £100k Budget Decision
Not a C8 or RS7 but as quick as the C7 Ideally 4 doors Up to 2 years old Not too flash Can be used day to day without falling apart driving along a la Maserati Any thoughts? I’d go for Alpina B5. I tested one before choosing my C7PE. Alpina were superb and the car was epic. Only thing that put me o...

Re: Grabbing/snatching brakes on C7 RS6 PE - anyone experienced this?
Holmsfree... did anything ever come of your second visit ? I've had this problem from new and getting nowhere with AUK (or the dealer) except for being told it must be a characteristic of the car (meaning they clearly have no idea). Very worrying when it is so dangerous... Scotty C, just checking y...
