Re: Coolant for rs6 c7
I also topped up with universal coolant picked up from a Shell garage as I thought I had best top up due to the frequency of errors. I had a panic when I looked into what Universal coolant was after the fact and thought I might have tainted my coolant, I contacted my independent garage (specialists ...

Re: Coolant for rs6 c7
I had the exact same issue in December, the heating in the car then worked the next day but it happened twice on me. I topped up with coolant and it hasn't happened since, the coolant bottle states G12 next to the filler, but the user manual might be more descriptive as to the type as I know there i...

Re: Losing coolant
I've noticed the exact same on my car as well, I also had a couple of journeys where the heating in the car didn't work, it just blew out cold air, not sure if it is related. I've not had to top the car up in 30k miles and the garage has never said anything when I've taken it in. I thought it might ...

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
I bought a second hand one on eBay for £30 (Audi A6, S6 (C7-4G) 2014 Aerial GPS antenna 4G0035503A MJA11387) and fitted it in an hour or so using the instructions in the link posted here: https://imgur.com/gallery/Ab22QyG I also bought a cheap trim removal kit from amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/R...

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
I still haven't fixed my GPS antenna, went up to the Lake District from Cambridgeshire where I live and now my car is convinced it is in France and now insists on initiating the headlamp conversion for driving on the right, I can't seem to turn this off or reset the GPS position even with the fix po...

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
Ouch, that's a little rich! I wonder how much the parts are and if it is worth a few hours on a weekend to swap!?

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
Confirmed it was seeing no satellite today on my way back from London. Odd thing is that it was only 20 meters or so out after 50 miles. As soon as I turned off of the M11 though it all went to pot. Wonder if it is worth trying to replace myself or just get a garage to do it. I like to think I'm qui...

Re: Ceramic Brakes - Soft Pedal
Hi Nick, I too have ceramics, and yes this is normal! The problem is that on longer runs, especially on the motorway, the discs are cold, and the pads damp, so nothing happens! I have taken to occasional but regular left foot braking when it's safe to do so just to get some heat in and dry things o...

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
To double check no satellites recieved, hit: Nav Tour (top left) Scroll to the top of the list where it shows your perceived location, press down on the mmi wheel Scroll to the top and it tells you the number of satellites you're connected to. To reset your position: Hit nav>settings. Scroll to the...

Re: GPS incorrect positioning
I've never had a notification of no signal on my MMI. Will try resetting but I think I have an issue with the GPS antenna unfortunately. I think you have to take the roof lining off to gain access to it though.

GPS incorrect positioning
My 2016 RS6 GPS is now pretty consistently out. Sometimes by meters but then sometimes by miles. It thinks sometimes I'm going in a slightly different direction so gradually gets worse. Started happening after last service at Audi after they also updated the MMI software (factory recall I believe). ...

Re: Ceramic Brakes - Soft Pedal
I've noticed similar behaviour on my RS6 (2016) with factory fitted ceramics. It has been really quite scary. This has happened on a number of occasions in really wet weather on a short 9 mile commute home. The journey rarely need brakes applied until the end of the journey when coming off of the du...

Re: Servicing
I've been quoted by my local Audi dealer £530 for an inspection + oil change, no filters or spark plugs (they are due at 40k?). This seems excessive for a basic 2 hour oil change? A local Audi specialist (Quattrotech) will charge £260 for the same + pollen filter which they suggest is due. I have a...

Re: Roofboxes
Looking at roof bars for my RS6, mainly for bike racks though. Want to squeeze 4 bikes up there as I managed to do on a previous car. Have Thule wing bars for that car (not edge) and the Thule bike racks, but it appears the recommend wing bars are shorter for the RS6. Wonder if I can cut the old one...
