Throttle body
So, I put my car in for a service about 3 weeks ago and while it was in they did some paintwork, the alternator belt, a load of bushings, brake fluid change and a carbon clean. It's done 115k miles and this was the first carbon clean I know of and I've had the car 9 years. Went to pick the car up f...

Sporadic EPC lamp
What you are describing initially looks like a small vacuum issue Was the vacuum sensor at the front lower part of the mainfold changed? With small hands its a job that can be done without taking off the manifold, it could be on the way out if its coming up sporadically. My P2015 and P2020 codes wer...

"Sport Mode" always on ??
I have a 2008 RS 4 that I purchased recently, about 66k on the clock, with a JHM stainless cat back exhaust. It seems like someone has programmed the "Sport Mode" to always be on? The accelerator is super sensitive (especially in 1st gear), and the exhaust note is rather loud. When I press the S bu...

Re: Forge Oil Cooler fitted
Hi, this is next on my list preventative more than anything else, im looking at Radtec and Forge, is Forge worth the extra money? Thanks I would say yes depending on driving conditions and if you live in a slightly hotter climate like me year round, keeping the already high temperatures that this e...

Sanity check: price for RNS cancel and RNS delete
425 to twist 4 caps at the end of the lines? That is outrageous in my opinion! Yes. I saw some posts from 2014 where people were complaining for these costing about 100, but with Covid shortages of everything the 425 might be the new norm, hence the question. I hope the quoted price is actually for...

Re: Yet more DRC/Coilover questions
I’d stick with the DRC myself, by the time you factor in the cost of high spec coilovers plus updated ARB’s and fitting, it’s comparable with DRC repairs. Depends what parts of the DRC have failed, but it is a phenomenal system for road use. For a daily gathering groceries and for commuting with th...

Sanity check: price for RNS cancel and RNS delete
Had KW V3 coilovers and H&R 33250-2 anti-roll bars installed on my RS4 Avant a few days ago. Sadly, the KW package did not include the DRC cancelation kit. This isn't a problem for me as I have zero intention of ever going back to DRC, but exposed oil lines might be a problem for the Swiss official...

Re: Yet more DRC/Coilover questions
Hi folks. Having mulled it over for quite a while, I am now more convinced that ditching the DRC for coilovers is probably the way to go on my car. Will either be KW v3 or Bilstein - depending on the outcome of a conversation I will be having with MRC next week sometime. Whilst I will definitely be...

Re: Worth the effort/expense?
I spoke to APR about it and they said there is no need to retune, the tune that's already installed with supercharger should automatically compensate for the intake and cat removal/exhaust Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk Ok thats good, eventually given how you have set it up I’d look into gett...

General thoughts of my rs4
Beautiful find and car and I hope that you get to enjoy it more in the coming months. Fluids should be fine if you already flushed and changed them all recently I think a light shade of window tint is always welcome and with the wheels, not sure if black but definately a darker color or liven it up...

Re: Auxiliary/Serpentine Belt
I couldn't find an answer to this. What is the recommended service interval for the belt & tensioner? I don't think mine has ever been done so going to get the belt & tensioner changed. Are there any other pulleys that need changing at the same time? Thanks in advance Our maintenance schedule in th...
