How has your box and converter been/behaved since you got a rebuilt box from chester and how long ago/many miles since. Hope you dont mind me asking but interested in your views i.e a real life review of qulaity/longevity ta

Do you think that a gearbox rebuilder like Chester transmissions etc would put a new one on as part of the rebuild cost or do you think or would that be deemed an ancillary?

I have found a 2014 map for sale for £20. Will I also need a disk to update the firmware or will that not be necessary. Thanks all I usually use waze or google maps from my phone and have the audio come through the car hi fi as I have a connects 2 Bluetooth unit hidden behind the rnsd. I have a 2003 avant. I will need a new gps aerial as wherever the car goes it seems to say it is in some random place but the map software is also antique. Does anyone know the year of the latest cd map we can use with the rnsd system which I want to keep to retain originality

regrettably I don't have the knowledge to take on sourcing parts much myself and am in the hands of the garage who don't seem to think its worth doing, or at least worth them doing. I think they are scared for me that I could end up paying £10K plus for all the work and not get the result I want. Wh...
