Re: Methanol now fitted (800+ bhp)

I admire what you are doing but, having just returned from a jaunt to the Welsh borders (where roads are wonderfully open, curvaceous and quiet) and given it plenty of welly on some lovely country stretches, I am struggling to find enough open space to really exploit my measly 552bhp. The rev count...

Re: Methanol now fitted (800+ bhp)

Is probably a misleading shot (too zoomed in) but it was carefully chosen as its a very slim tank and does not get in my way personally. Also the pump has to be physically located below the tank so we saw some fitment issues as my air compressor system is under boot floor etc etc. Will prob mix a bi...

Methanol now fitted (800+ bhp)

Hi All, Thought id share my meth pics, install was a breeze and is really pulling hard now. Before the meth install we got 750 bhp from a MRC stage 2+ (with a 33c dyno room) so with meth fitted now too should be making over 800 bhp, will get it dyno'd again to confirm exactly what but overall im hap...

Anyone tried 295 tyres?

Hi all, Im getting wheel spin on my crap Pirelli's on launch and want to upgrade to Michelin's, but wondered if anyone tried the 295's as opposed to the standard 285's which will give a bit more rubber on the ground and grip. I have 15mm spacers and also lowered so worried they may rub. My mechanic ...

Re: Thinking of removing these to increase power

I'd also think twice about air flow before removing. Firstly, Audi wouldn't have put the baffles there without reason as it will be a cost and weight penalty - small, but things don't get added for fun! Secondly, at speed the air flow around the car will mean that a major component of the flow is a...

Thinking of removing these to increase power

Hi all,

Cant help noticing the huge blocked area in each air intake, are they there for a reason? Looks to me like removing them will just increase airflow to those radiators by an extra 40%... Also does anyone know what those radiators are behind the grills?

That’s full stage 2, had all the hardware fitted by Dave at DH Automotive up here in Scotland then the map by MRC

Full exhaust (non res/decat), downpipes, BMC filter, airbox flap delete, race plugs and full service

i never knew there was an airbox flap?
what is this?
will it get more power?
