Re: Which coil packs ?

Guessing this is resolved. I've had various coils replaced over last 3 or 4 years. In the end I had all 8 replaced at last service with an R8 upgrade coil set in June last year. Has run perfectly since then. Cost for the set £211 + VAT.

Regards.

Re: Anyone come from a MK5 R32?

Hi - keep your R32 as well as the RS4. Different but great cars both of them. I kept mine for 12 months then sold it for more than I was offered initially but wish I'd kept it. Check my thread back in 2019 in response to a similar question. Mine and others.

Enjoy - both

Re: RNSE - AMI retrofit

Hi - does anyone know of a new SatNav/MMI system that can replace the RNSE but retain the drivers display, retains use of the BOSE and the integrated microphone? Not keen to lose those but keen to move the system forward.

Many thanks

Re: In the future...

Interesting. We see other marques now offering manufacturer rebuilds back to as new. Would have thought there was similar mileage/prestige in this for Audi with the RS line as there is for Jaguar, Porsche etc, even Peugeot. My B7 is for keeps so I certainly hope a solution is found. Triumph Stag Own...

Re: After Market Head Unit

Hi chaps, and ladies,
Does anyone know of an after market head unit which retains the drivers display function? Would like to upgrade but reluctant to lose this.

Cheers

Re: R32 to RS4... but B7 or B8?

Well it's simple really - go for the B7 once you're sure you've found a good one. B8 has lots of newer "goodies" but it just ain't the real deal. I bought a low mileage 2007 B7 Saloon 2 years ago, having had a 2006 Mk5 R32 for 10 years. I bought the RS4 but kept the R32 "just in case" I'd bought a p...

Re: Dynamic/adaptive headlights

Hi all - does this mean that if you have "8Q5 = Headlight-range adjustment, automatic/ dynamic with dynamic bending light (AFS 1)" then your lights will adjust automatically for driving on the right ie when in France. hence no need for beam deflectors. Would be useful. Excuse my ignorance. Cheers

Charging and boosted signal. Not necessary anymore though. If you remove it it’ll leave two huge holes. I bought a new console today, £120 odd from TPS.

RS4 Integrated Phone Cradle

Hi - Of what use is the integrated phone cradle? I have a 2007 B7 RS4 Saloon. It's brilliant but has the integrated phone cradle plus adaptor for iPhone 4S. The RNSE itself has bluetooth and virtually any phone with bluetooth pairs with that without needing to be fitted to the integrated cradle. The...

Re: Little or no use rs4

arthur.d ,12th - thanks both. helpful. I've not done any long journeys in this as yet, longest about 100miles. The intention is to do about 4 to 5k/year on several long runs but want to resolve this before I build the confidence for longer trips. I'll let you know as and when things transpire diagno...

Re: Little or no use rs4

On good roads or motorways not really a problem. On rough/bumpy roads it's as if the throttle is over sensitive or I'm driving poorly which isn't likely. The RS4 had oil change service, filters, spark plugs etc only a few hundred miles ago (October) and runs well when warm but still exhibits the "ka...

Re: Little or no use rs4

Hi - Does anyone know of a carbon clean specialist in the North West? Would they recommend them? I have a 2007 B7 RS4 Saloon. Low mileage (31k) and little used. I see it as a keeper but looks like I have the kangaroo petrol problem and pretty sure it hasn't been done before so could well fit with ca...
