Re: Is The RS6 Good Value?

Really interesting read Nick, I'm currently sitting at Southend Audi having my car MOT'd (not expecting to find anything eye widening!). The world has certainly changed a lot in the 16 or so years the V8 FSI and V10 FSI were developed and added to the B7 RS4, R8 and S6/S8/Gallardo respectively and w...

Re: Is The RS6 Good Value?

For me, it's the uniqueness of the engine configuration(V10) and the combination of the forced induction giving it a 1 of 1 (the only v10 petrol turbo engine produced by a manufacturer for road car use). It is also extremely likely this engine will stay as a 1 of 1. Production numbers also help reta...

Re: New (to me) RS6 plus 2010, what mods first?

Congrats on the purchase Paul, I have a Plus and a Golf R32 for town driving, twins! Get some photos up and if you're on Instagram, awesome. In terms of mods, I've only had my car since lockdown, running a milltek, bmc filters and an APR stage 1 by the first owner but MRC map and gearbox map is defi...

OE replacement windscreen

Hi All,

Has anyone had their front windscreen replaced with OE glass? If so, can you confirm whether RS6 glass was fitted as opposed to regular A6? I've insisted with my insurer and Autoglass to fit OE (which they are doing tomorrow) and my OCD will not allow me to accept a regular A6 screen.

Re: OBD Eleven for B7 RS4

I find it to be a very effective code reader for my current rs6 and previous rs4 and the Mrs R32. I wouldn't buy it for making updates to the car as there isn't a lot "out of the box". If you buy the pro version you can create our own codes if you're well versed in that sort of thing.

Production Model V10 Twin Turbo

Hi All, I'm wondering if we can (or whether someone has already), determine whether the C6 V10 twin turbo is the officially manufactured (petrol) engine of it's type designed and built for road use? I note the V10 engine was first engineered by a manufacturer for road use in the Dodge Viper and sinc...

Re: C5 values

Yes that’s the one. About to be it and then the wife got involved. Hope you have many miles of happy motoring. Enjoy. I am a bit envious. But pleased a fellow member bought it. Thanks Steve - very kind of you to say. The fact it is the same colour as my B7, it felt like it was meant to be. Sorry to...

Re: C5 values

Paid 12.5 k for mine 8 years ago. Would want the same if I sold. Spent quite a bit in the last 2 years on her. Saw a 2010 v10 plus for sale recently at £24995 and I was interested. They offered me 6.5 k part x and I told them to forget it. For comparison I contacted we buy any car. They offered £5....

Re: Opinions on this rs6

Not to deviate from the propshaft question, congrats on your purchase, as a new RS6 owner (but to Nicks point an existing forum member and RS4 owner) I share the excitement that is owning such a car coupled with the pontential for the odd eye watering bill. Good luck with it, keep us updated! Kristian

Re: New RS6 owner

Avant's are faster :biggrin3: I'm in Colchester if you need access to a VCDS and haven't got. Looks great (shame not a 'Vant) ;) Haha cheers bud, I've got OBD Eleven which seems to work well for fault reading and making a few high level changes (although it does not support coding like VCDS). I'm L...

Re: New RS6 owner

Thanks all for your positive comments! I've always liked a saloon coming from an a4, Impreza's and the RS4 but I can appreciate the avant is the preferred body style for most. I'm sure you're all feeling the same as me around looking forward to the summer months when hopefully the brunt of COVID-19 ...

New RS6 owner

Evening Chaps, I've been a B7RS4 owner and forum lurker for the past 2.5 years and was considering a C5 RS6 recently, viewing a nice Mugello avant at a dealer recently I thought it was the car for me. Fate intervened when speaking with MRC (who had seen the car fairly recently) explained it had been...

Re: Potential sale mug loon

Hi All - my RS4 is for sale at FS performance for £18,950. Really is an awesome car and I'd love to see it go to a forum member/enthusiast. If anyone is interested and has some specific questions. Moved on to an RS6 Plus, will miss the scream of the v8 :-(
