I think it’s down to the hubs - they are made of cheese and go out of true really easily, so get them checked before you spend a fortune on new discs/pads - see my post on this last year…

FS: RS6 C7 20” concave wheel set with Dunlop winter tyres
Hi - have just sold my rs6 so selling my winter wheel set. These are the regular 20” wheels from the c7 - the 9.5J wide ones with concave spokes - not the narrower ‘official’ winter ones. They’ve been powder coated in anthracite and are in perfect condition. Come with Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tyres...

Re: Warped discs and pads - advice required
I’ve had the same problem on both my current and previous RS6 - if you just replace the discs you are wasting your money as the judder will come back. The actual problem is with the hubs - they damage easily on potholes and that then puts the disc out of true and the judder develops as they wear or ...

Re: Rear Diffuser/Exhaust Tips
I just did mine too - removed the bumper to get them off which was surprisingly easy. This video helped - https://youtu.be/_Qw0OxeaPfU. Think there’s an extra screw for the avant vs. the video of the saloon but it’s pretty obvious. You’ll need a box or something to sit the bumper on as the parking s...

Re: Audi smartphone carplay activation
What do people think about this - is it worth the money? Traffic on standard (without connect) is pretty poor but how well integrated is the CarPlay?

Re: Warped Front Discs after 6000 miles and less than a year
Had the same problem on mine - had bought used @18months/20k miles and turned out it had had multiple warranty claims for vibrating discs. Leicester Audi replaced the front discs and pads when I bought it, but it came back in about 3k miles - they then replaced again on warranty (and I gave a contri...

Re: 40,000 Mile Service - 4 Years
It’s final drive oil I think (whatever that means) not the gearbox. See the other thread - I was quoted £1100 so that’s loads cheaper. Which dealer is it?

Re: Decent independent in nottingham?
Thanks. Have always supplied my own oil in the past but they’ve changed their policy now and won’t do it... the oil change alone is £377 and £160 of that is oil! Ouch... I guess they have to make their margin somewhere though.

Decent independent in nottingham?
Anyone used a decent independent in or around Nottingham? I’m at 40k miles and need spark plugs, final drive oil (x2??) and an oil change. Main dealer is asking for just under £1100 - is that reasonable? Thanks.

Re: Slow Mirror
Hi - I’ve had exactly the same problem with mine. It’s worse in cold weather and sometimes doesn’t fold at all or only comes out partially. I’ve had audi look at it a couple of times but they could never replicate it - I finally got them to replace on warranty a couple of weeks ago by showing them p...
