Re: Best Floorstanders for £300-£400???

Walrus have got some secondhand Linn Keilidhs (pronounced kay-lee) at £495. IIRC they were about £2k new. Might need something beefy to drive them though. www.walrus.co.uk or www.exdem.co.uk and try speakers. I remember paying around £400 for some Ruark Sabres 15 years ago, but that probably doesn't...

Re: Two dogs or one ?

The breed is quite rare - the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (or toller for short). We have no issue with having the mother apart from the implication of having two dogs immediately instead of just the one. A lot of people have said that they will be company for eachother, and that training the ...

Two dogs or one ?

After several months of waiting we will be picking up our new puppy next week. She will be about 8 weeks old then. We have been asked if anyone would be interested in the puppy's mother, who we have met and is absolutely beautiful. She is just coming up to 8 years old and has been a (very successful...

Re: Urgent S3 Purchase queries

The Audi web site is excellent for searching and comparing prices and specifications, although the asking price will be higher than non franchise dealers. Don't be too put off by the 1st service cost. Mine was around £350. There are a few other threads discussing servicing costs. UK supplied vehicle...

Re: Urgent S3 Purchase queries

My two penneth worth may come too late but approach this car as you would any other. 1. Be suspicious, if you have any doubts then walk away, there will always be another car. 2. Registration document. Demand sight of it. If it's "at Swansea" or "haven't picked it up from the previous owner" then wa...

First place I tried.

Calendars are a bit 'low revenue' for them, I think.

Wanted: Kimi Raikkonen 2004 calendar

I'm off to see one of my god children in Toronto next month. He is mad keen on Kimi (since Mika H retired). Trying to track down a calendar for him for Christmas without any joy. Anybody have any good idea ? Kimi's own site only sells clothes. As he is 11 there's not much point as will have grown ou...

Re: Gearbox failure

sometimes my gear wont go into 5th or 6th My S3 has occaisionally resisted going into 5th. More of a "do I have to ?" than a "I will NOT do this" resistance. Happens so rarely that would never have been able to recreate for a dealer. Car has done 45k now. It has done this since we first got it when...
